I just got a silver Ezbook pro 3 from Aliexpress a few days ago and I am wondering if anyone else has this problem with their screen.
When it’s a solid color like say navy blue you can see rounded edges within the screen itself. It is like a border of sorts. I’ve attached a picture of it. It’s really only visible on solid colors.
If you want to check yours, set your desktop background to “solid color” and then select navy blue or seafoam teal.

In the mean time, let me also update with my own screen flickering problem at the lower part of the screen. Have a look at a video capture of the problem here https://youtu.be/1Dd-x7bZCLs and notice the flickering at the beginning of the video. Any insights on what the problem might be and is anybody experiencing this also. Mine started a few days after I started using it.
June 12, 2017 at 8:48 am #68081Hello Norg,
So I checked out my screen to see if it had the same problem as yours and from what I can see, it doesn’t seem to have but I would rather you confirm yourself. Attached is my desktop with blue background. I hid all desktop icons and taskbar and then took screen shots with lightscreen. I also snapped with phone and attached both pics.

I don’t see the same problem in your pictures.
I watched your youtube video and it seems your problem is more annoying to the eye than mine. Someone posted on your youtube link saying a reinstall of Windows fixed his problem. Your issue could be driver related.
They also suggested that the problem didn’t exist within linux. I am going to try a live usb version of linux and see if my problem persists. I am downloading an iso from http://linuxiumcomau.blogspot.com/2017/06/interim-ubuntu-1704-iso-with-mainline.html as I type this.
June 17, 2017 at 1:20 pm #68258I just watched your review of the jumper ezbook 3s on youtube. Good job.
I’m going to ask here as I can’t see the review article yet. Which version of Manjaro did you use for that test? also was it the 32bit or 64bit? and lastly did you have to change any settings in the bios to get it to load?
Reason I ask is, I am not having much luck getting any linux distro loading on my ezbook 3 pro. (I’ve tried to isorespin an iso to add Refind but that is giving me errors too)
Thanks
June 17, 2017 at 4:29 pm #68262Hi, I usedManjaro release 17. Make a bootable USB drive from the ISO using Rufus. It’s the 64bit image. I’m not sure if I can install it to the harddrive. Bios settings were left as is. Just booted it.

June 19, 2017 at 6:01 am #68296Norg,
is it still there and the same?
It doesn’t really seem to be symmetric so can it be humidity.
I had that similiar issue with an IBM Thinkpad T40 around 2005. After a week in the green house it had been gone – fortunatelly
Good luck - WOLF

It’s still there, but I do live in very a humid city. I suppose a good test if it was humidity would be to take the laptop to a well air conditioned room and see what it does.
I was trying to boot a live usb of linux to see if the problem was still there, but I am not having luck with any release of Manjaro or Ubuntu. I imagine I need to find a way to run isorespin on the iso to install Refind.
June 19, 2017 at 11:53 am #68305@Norg :
Antergos live ISO boots out of the box into GUI for EzB 3 pro, so for the screen test that would be easiest way to go.
But install would need wifi drivers or another mean of internet access and that’s different story.

He says Linux is 100% working and runs very fast on this device, though dunno if he tested everything – Bluetooth, screen brightness adjust, battery management, etc. He used Linuxium’s “ISO respin script” to generate a custom ISO installer which enables creating a Live-USB boot disk running the very latest Linux Kernel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4YdLf2ZAKg Reposting his relevant comments here…
