That’s weird… I also preordered mine. The pre-sale ended on the 16th but I’m still on “Processing”.
On 11.11 I ordered with their coupons two tablets.. they canceled the orders and refunded me for both two days later. I heard it was some issue with the mobile version of Gearbest that let people use coupons that were not valid on the web site. Not sure why it is my problem but that’s the thing with Chinese sites..the customer is never right and the seller has the last word. Of course, that’s unless you buy on Aliexpress where the buyer is much more powerful than on Banggood and Gearbest as you can always open a dispute which is impossible on GB and BG. The problem with Aliexpress is that it is mostly some 10% more expensive.
I’ll update if I have news regarding my order.
January 18, 2016 at 11:11 am #22814The cancelled my preorder, too. but in my case they refunded all the amount on paypal the next day. I will probably end up buying it from geekbuying.
January 18, 2016 at 11:21 am #22817I just noticed that the price is now 195.46$ on GearBest. They are a-holes.. why is the presale more expensive than the actual price?
January 18, 2016 at 1:54 pm #22827That’s weird. Did they provide any comments to why they have cancelled the orders? I have ordered one yesterday after the pre-sale ended and haven’t received any info about cancellation.

January 18, 2016 at 2:14 pm #22833If I were you I would request more details from them. It helps when claiming the transaction through PayPal (not sure if you have used PP to pay for your order). Store credit or another product is pointless.

When i receive my paypal refund, i’m still in the market for an X98 Plus Dual boot. There is mention above about geekbuying. Are they reliable? Any more recommendations? So many cowboys it’s just like the wild west!
January 18, 2016 at 6:31 pm #22903I ordered a teclast pro for my sister a month ago from geekbuying. While it was still “in progress” she decided she wanted the Air II. They had no problem changing the order and they refunded the rest later the same day. I have also heard good things about banggood.

Thanks for your reply, I will probably give geekbuying a try. GearBest have now refunded via PayPal in full. All automated communications with no explanation offered. Other sellers including gearbest and geekbuying seem to be stating various waiting times before stock arrives, so I suspect there’s some sort of supply problem. Think i will confirm stock before flashing the cash. Lesson learned.

January 19, 2016 at 9:00 am #22958Yesterday I got a reply from an AliExpress seller.. He told me that he should have the tablet in about 4 days.

Ta. Chris mentions elsewhere that it’s Chinese new year on 8th Feb and for a week nothing much will get done, so my target is to have one shipped well before then.
January 19, 2016 at 10:46 am #22964I can wait few days until GB gets the tablet. My only concern is some kind of warranty which I can get in AliExpress but not in GeekBuying\GearBest\Banggood etc.. I mean, you can’t escalate a dispute unless you have a site owner like AliExpress, you’re in the mercy of the seller :\

Seems like whichever supplier you choose it’s all a bit of a lottery. I’m sitting tight for a few days until one of the ‘better’ (or should it be ‘less devious’) sellers can confirm stock.
January 19, 2016 at 11:35 am #22969The case arrives from GearBest very quickly.. 13 days since I’ve made the order which is quite impressive. It will be empty for a while now until I get the tablet :\
