ImADev described how it worksMarch 13, 2016 at 10:44 pm #29229Ah, I really appreciate it, I contacted IAmDev, asking if he could send me the link for the 64g version, that way I will hopefully be able to reinstall evrything.
I will try to post the results here for people in the future with the same problem.
March 13, 2016 at 10:55 pm #29231Just got a message back, saying he doesn’t have a back-up for the 64g version though the other version might work. (See below for message)
You could try the 221510 version and change some of the drivers if device manager lists any issues. I don’t know how well Android would work though.

March 17, 2016 at 1:39 pm #29778@Lorenzo, how did you end up with no OS? What did you do and what version of Windows did you have when it was working?
Do you have the 32GB, 64GB or the Ultimate version of this tablet?
March 17, 2016 at 7:19 pm #29825So yeah, I basically tried to fix the toucscreen, sound and wifi on Windows side of things, and tried using a batch file that I found somewhere. Afterwards all the partitioins etc. were gone. I do have the partitioins back after using ImADev’s image for the other serial, though Windows can’t boot saying a device isn’t connected, and Android just goes into a boot-loop.
As I right now don’t have a lot of time to fix this, I already opened a thread asking if someone with the same serial could provide me a back-up. I hope soon somebody will hook me up with the appropiate one so that I will have a working device again.
March 17, 2016 at 11:49 pm #29878I’m uploading just the Android partitions from my initial backup. It’s 7 zipped mrimg format, i.e. Macrium Reflect image. If it works I’ll do Windows 8.1 too.
I’m on a slow connection so this will take a long while, I’ll PM you a link when it’s up…
March 18, 2016 at 12:23 am #29881It’s not mentioned in this thread, but he needs the 64GB 221511 version.
I did tell him that I could give him a TWRP backup for Android. It’s difficult for me to do much else though as I’ve modified Android a lot more since I created the backup. My Windows partition also isn’t easily shared as I’ve currently got a few large files on it and I’ve upgraded it to the Pro version.
My last suggestion was to use my TWRP backup to get Android booting and then just fresh install Windows 10 and install/restore some of the missing drivers. He said that he hasn’t got the time to do that right now though.
March 18, 2016 at 1:06 am #29885Thanks for the info, I did find the other thread after he mentioned it. My tablet starts Vi10PQ64G221510, so somewhere close to his (I’m guessing the 221510 is a date?). Worth a shot I think, if it doesn’t work there’s also the version in the downloads section of course.
I thought of TWRP, but since he seemed to be having difficulties with the flash tool I thought the direct imaging approach would be best.
Do you know if he upgraded to 10? I’m not sure if it’ll activate he didn’t otherwise it’s clearly the best idea.
March 18, 2016 at 1:26 am #29886221510 doesn’t seem to work as that’s what I gave him (see the Google drive link above). Android will boot loop and Windows will error during boot with the message “a required device isn’t connected or cannot be accessed”.
He said that his tablet had no OS’s but he didn’t say why. Maybe he tried to fresh install Windows 10 and did it wrong? I don’t know.
Windows 10 should read the Windows 8 key stored in his BIOS and automatically activate him. If it doesn’t though then he just needs to open up command prompt and enter the following to retrieve his key.
wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKeyMaybe he should reset his BIOS to the optimal defaults too.
March 18, 2016 at 2:15 am #29889Ah, yes, I didn’t read that he’d tried that version. Oh well.
As for what happened, he ran a batch file he found online and after that the partitions had gone.
It’s fairly widely commented upon that a Windows 8.1 key won’t activate 10 and that you have to upgrade (or manually generate and transfer a genuine ticket xml file) to register the key with Microsoft’s servers. It may or may not be true. I’ve used the upgrade and manual approach with success but never tried just doing the fresh install without upgrade or using the ticket.
Although I often advise people to use the wmic command, I myself use RW everything to dump the SLIC/MSDM tables 😉
I think it would be worth checking the BIOS version and loading optimal defaults if it’s correct.

That’d be based off of old info as Windows 10 should read the MSDM table if you’ve got one and activate you without doing the upgrade.
The original 10240 build wouldn’t accept Windows 7 or 8.x keys from a fresh install, but as of build 1511 Windows 10 will accept Windows 7 and 8.x keys after a fresh install 🙂
March 18, 2016 at 9:54 am #29905Thanks a lot everyone for sticking with me, also sorry for the lack of information I had given, but I don’t know what I should do at the moment. I guess I’ll attempt to fix Android. I have never used TWRP though, do I install it using the flash tool?
Also, I think I won’t have time to try fix it until either at night, or tomorrow.
I ant to thank everyone again, for at least trying to help me 🙂
March 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm #299231. Hold volume down when you power on the tablet
2. Select Android and press the power button to boot it
3. Immediately hold volume down againDo you boot to droidboot? If you do then we can install TWRP and then select recovery from the menu to boot into TWRP.
March 18, 2016 at 10:16 pm #29983Ooh, I have never found that combination to be honest, but when I try it, I can get into droidboot.
Where am I supposed to download TWRP?

I’ll need to give you a custom version. I’m currently uploading everything 🙂
