The adapter between SSD and motherboard is missing. So I can’t add the SSD.

Try to contact Jumper. Maybe they will confirm the daughterboard would work, and agree to sell you one. I think it is a standardized part for many brands, so you can also look for it in the Net.
August 3, 2017 at 6:07 pm #70080There’s an interesting line in description:
(The laptop only M.2 SSD interface which means you weld extra M.2 wire into the laptop)
Now i get what this actually means – you can install m.2 board with m.2 slot… if you have one.
August 3, 2017 at 6:08 pm #70081Did you add the daughterboard on your own ezbook 3 pro & does it work? What’s the normal price for the board?
Is there a specific name so I can search for it?
August 3, 2017 at 7:06 pm #70083Fuck. It has a SSD-port for the adapter where the M.2 drive goes to, but that´s it. Motherboard is REV 01. I can live with the EMMC but I’m pissed because I already ordered the M.2 SSD and now it’s useless.
Get on to geekbuying they sold it as having m.2.
August 3, 2017 at 8:20 pm #70086I contacted Jumper about the M.2 slot-card and Geekbuying.com too. And yes, there are screw holes so it just needs that daughterboard…

Thanks for the confirmation, I think now i can proceed with purchase from geekbuying
How much are they selling for the daughterboard?

He hasn’t even said that either have replied, let alone if they are selling the board, so long way from having price.
Really it’s for Geekbuying to sort out as they said it had M.2 and it hasn’t quite.
August 4, 2017 at 1:29 am #70096Looks like you got a unit that was poorly QC’d and they just let it slide through… That really sucks, but I hope you can return the SSD? (or maybe buy the part that connects the SSD to the port on the motherboard?)
August 4, 2017 at 5:13 am #70098Geekbuying replied with a photo from the inners of the ezbook. My heatsink is longer so I need to make it shorter so the slot and the ssd will fit. Or if they can send me the heatsink that will come with the M.2 models. I’m not willing to pay much… I’ll know more after next reply.
“Dear
Thanks for your email and sorry for thatIt is the contact points instead of the slot ,and you can buy the accessories contact by yourselfPlease check the attachedBest regardsElaine”Attachments:

The heatsink in that picture appears exactly the same as the one in Chris’s picture on this page. You can see it overhangs the motherboard just the same. The bit marked with red square is to the left of the daughter board socket and seems irrelevant.

The problem remains the same that they specified it had M.2 and it doesn’t without the little ribbon cable and extra board. You shouldn’t have to buy anything extra this is their error.
August 4, 2017 at 10:09 am #70107They specified it has only interface for m.2 slot.

Motherboard is dated on last year december.
Edit: Here it is, exact same internals: https://youtu.be/iK7ozkGUY60
August 4, 2017 at 11:12 am #70111What about using m.2 ngff adapter like this one
Maybe you can tape the adapter on the board instead of having to remove parts of the heatsink just to make it shorter?
August 4, 2017 at 11:17 am #70112I dont think it’ll work. There are some components on the Jumper’s board…
