    manufactured 29.10.2014
mine says full charged capacity 7351
    designed capacity 4300
and number of charge discharge cycles is 41069 šŸ˜€

well after 41 thousand cycles, i guess it wouldnt be able to power anything šŸ˜€ i guess its a bug

Yeah even with 2 years of time it would be unplugged and plug again forever! so far it seems battery isnt too bad after the first power cycle down it doesnt seem to get a constant charge tho it likes to hop between 800-1250 maH quite a bit.

(…) IWork10 showed a Intel Battery manufactured in 2014 with a designed capacity of 4200 but with a 7700 actual capacity (first strange thing) Charge Cycles is what i found interesting it shows 35,000!!!!!!!! charge cycles i dont know if these are reused batteries or issues with this stat but I was wondering if anyone else has checked out BatteryInfoView to see their stats. So far battery life is ok after the first charge average 5-6 hours but I am worried these batteries won’t last!

I wouldn’t like to elevate your doubts about battery even if I know who is manufacturer of this specimen. But I’m almost 100% sure that date of production (end of 2014), capacity (4200 mAh) and charge cycles (35000+) raported by BIOS ACPI isn’t right in this device. I think that this two first values wasn’t updated during assembly of this tablet and those are some default hardcoded into BIOS (EFI). As for the “charge cycle” count I didn’t notice any change there after few full charge-discharge cycle. Write down your number and compare after few more days (charging cycles). I’m a little baffled why Ausus Transformer (Book T200?) can update these data because as far as I know AXP288x PMIC doesn’t have such counter. This must be done be some driver or there is differnet PMIC.

Battery specification read from the images of dismantled tablet and supplemented by my search on the net:
Manufacturer: Shenzhen Grand Powersource Co., LTD
    Model Name: (3258154)
    NOM 3.7V 7500mAh 27.75Wh
    Max Voltage: 4.35V

    Max charge cycles: 500
    Full charge Voltage: 4.2V
    Standard charge: 0.5C (3250mA)

    @Richard Bayes

I am having the same problem as your collegue šŸ™

First 2 weeks, the tablet worked ok and charged in 5h or so. Now it wont charge more than 3-400mA and takes 12h to charge šŸ™ Do you know if your collegue solved the issue?

I tried several different chargers, amongst them a S6 original charger and a purchased blitzwolf 2.4A charger.

I’m getting alittle bit more from the 2,4A (around 500mA average), but still annoying slow.

So I take it your colleague have fixed the issue? I have 10h+ charging time in both Windows and Android with an original Samsung s6 charger.

Opened a ticket on gearbest.com, they say they will contact cube regarding the issue and get back to me within a couple of days.

    Yes, its a 5V2A charger.

Tried a newly purchased Blitzwolf charger as well, thats 5V 2.4A, and it seemed lite it charged alittle bit faste (500-550mA) instead.

Charging speed on this tablet more like hit and miss, you must use a correct charger and correct cable, and connect it on correct OS. On my particular case, I must use a third part USB cable (orico brand, certified to work at 2.4A), a Xiaomi QuickCharge 2.0 12V 1A, 5V 2.4A charger (comes with Xiaomi phones), and must be booted to Windows (2.5A charging speed) or Android (2.0A charging speed). If I used supplied USB cable, it only charges around 1A, anker supplied USB cable is around 1.2A, and using Anker 5 port charger is around 1.8A.

Using a original Samsung S6 charger cable, works like a charm on all of my other devices. I havent tried charging in windows though, will try that out and get back to the result.

But with the app Ampere, what do you get for speed in android charging the tablet?

I am using hardware USB Amp meter, like thisĀ . If you want to buy it, I suggest you buy the one that can support 12V for supporting QuickCharging voltage, as the one I am linked to is only supporting up to 7.0V.

Have you tried using a QuickCharge charger? It maybe just me, but in my case, the normal USB 5V charger just supplies around 1.7A to my tablet, even when it is 2.4A. If I use a QuickCharge charger, I can pull 2.4A when booted to Windows. However, you have tried Samsung S6 charger, which should be QuickCharge charger.

I never tried to use any app to measure the amp until now, and I don’t have the iWork 10 Ultimate to test it anymore, already replaced it with HiBook Pro. However, both tablet shares almost the same motherboard, and should behave similarly. I will test it when I am going to charge the tablet.

    Hi!

Why is that in Android’s SETTINGS/BATTERY/MISC it reports a battery of 1000 mAh when is it supposed to be a 7500?

Is this is a bug or should I worry and contact the seller?

    Thanks!

Yes, the S6 one are quickcharge, the blitzwolf have a 2,4A and a 2,0 quickcharge as well, and today I got a qualcomm as well.

But yesterday my tablet died when it was 80% loaded, and I havent been able to restart it no matter what I did, so seems like something are fishy with the tablet, and gearbest needed another 2 days to talk to the supplier regarding that issue as well. Looks like I will be sending it back for repair :/

Have you tried to just leave it connected to PC overnight and try to charge it again? I have feeling that the battery is depleted, and the power IC is probably crashed, and must be restarted, however, since the Battery is internal, and it is even soldered directly to the board, you have to find a way to really empty the battery and charge it again, so the Power IC will be rebooted.
