I need a tablet to use as a media server (flac files to external DAC) and for general entertainment when I do house and pet sitting. A larger screen is preferred, approx 10″, and good connectivity via additional USB or hdmi would be really handy. Budget is limited so premium models are sadly well outside what I can afford. Of the mid price models out of China what ones are the most reliable and can stand up to a couple of years at least of steady use? Things like the T10 Teclast look brilliant but can I be reasonably assured of a decent lifespan. The Samsung TabA that has been used by a friend has never missed a beat in 3-4 years, whereas a Lenovo mobile phone I had (brilliant phone, loved it) died in twenty months. I don’t want to spend a couple of hundred dollars and not get at least 3 plus years out of it. Any help much appreciated.

Maybe I’d better include laptops in this request as well, they could suit better what I need and they seem to be a lot lighter than the six year old Lenovo I still use (but is on the way out, hard drive is getting noisy and hot)

maybe just switch the hdd to a sdd.

believe me the old notebooks while heavier were superior in build quality.
you get a 256gB ssd for below 50$ and you keep windows 7 (i guess) and do not have the win 10 mess to deal with.

    Need Help?
