First, I would like to say thank you to Chris for helping me out promptly with my account activation issue, really appreciate!

I have been using this laptop which I purchased directly from Jumper direct sales online store for exactly one week now. It cost me around $190, it has 64GB eMMc and 64GB BIWIN SSD, already cloned the OS to SSD but it is still a bit slow, though.

I am a light user so I am still pondering whether or not I should get a new SSD for it.

So far, I have already experienced 2 major hardware issues, blank screen while booting up and continuous disconnection of wifi after latest win 10 update (driver issue, code 10). I am so glad that I have stumbled across this forum where other ezbook 3 pro users gather around and share their experience. I resolved the black screen issue by disconnect the battery for 10 mins and updated ac 3165 driver automatically instead of messing around with intel latest driver and failed miserably.

One of the biggest challenge I am facing right now is to lower overall CPU usage and make it sun smoother. obviously the cpu is the bottleneck of the system, always hit 100%.

so far, I have activated gpedit and disabled MS telemetry and MS defender(using bitdefender now), cleaned up my storage, turned off win 10 effects(shadows..etc..) , cleaned up win 10 system startup list…

Could anyone advise me how I can slim down the system further more?

    Thank you very much.

use taskmanager to see who takes up the power and the google how to disable it.

A good start also is shutup10 -just disable everything you do not like via flick and swish (HP refference)
    I disabled everything.
Most of the time the Jumper is at 10-25% processor usage

    Thanks for your reply.

There are quite many unfamilar background processes in task manager, anyway, I disabled superfetch, prefetch, chrome’s hardware acceleration (a lot quicker when loading sites like the youtube. )  telemetery, windows defender… lower mouse delay tmie in registry…. etc . I also turned off all desktop visual effects for performance…smooth scrolling, cleaned temp folders, saved win updated files….

I am still using the crappy 64GB biwin SSD that came with the laptop, 25GB free space so far. it’s not fast but acceptable.

If there is no Windows application you need to have/run then I’d recommend removing Windows and installing LinuxMint 19.1 (Xfce or Mate desktop).
