    Hi guys,

I need your help. I would like to offer a new phone to my wife for her anniversary (in one month exactly). Today she uses an iphone 4S  which is getting weaker and weaker (we bought cheap 2nd hand). My idea is getting for her the new redmi 5 note. I saw Chris review and it seems to be a hell of a phone.

My wife likes apple ios appearance so the Miui would be a good way to get in android world by the backdoor without too much pain 🙂 My issue is that often she says: I like my iphone it is so small… but sometimes she says … it is too small to watch websites etc …so … there is a hope she will accept such a beast (15,86 cm i think).

Chris’s review is the 4gb/64 gb version which is around 200 EUR but I see there is a 3GB/32 version for around 170 . I am not worried about  the storage. 32 gb + sd card is more than enough but what about RAM is 3 gb sufficient for a very fluid usage? Iphone is very well optimized and works flawlessly with even less ram but I’m not sure about the redmi note 5 or xiamoi in general.  What do you think?

Any other suggestion of a good phone under 200 EUR? I’m not sure about other brands from china as they often have software issues? an Asus?

    thanks for your quick help

If you are not against Android, you can pay attention to Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, now for 195 $ on Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/Xiaomi-Unlocked-Global-Version-Warranty/dp/B079YJ5BKX/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1528362489&sr=8-4&keywords=xiaomi&dpID=41PCRx3EpfL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I am using it for a long time and I find this phone comfortable and productive. Of course, it is not so reactive as iPhone, but I think it is better than most other android smartphones. Also I can recommend Honor that my dad are using, but it is more expensive (250$): https://www.amazon.com/Honor-7X-full-view-Dual-lens-Smartphone/dp/B078NCL7GK/ref=pd_sbs_107_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B078NCL7GK&pd_rd_r=01CX6619QZM5QY5R3ED4&pd_rd_w=5d8zg&pd_rd_wg=gspJZ&psc=1&refRID=01CX6619QZM5QY5R3ED4
