You’re welcome! Glad it worked.
Possibly relevant, Rufus is an excellent tool for creating bootable USBs.
February 21, 2016 at 11:12 pm #26681Well I successfully created a usb stick with the win 10 files on it calhaus provided (downloaded, extracted & copied to USB) as shown in top level.jpg.
In my bios menu I disabled all boot options except the USB stick and then went to my boot menu and booted from the USB.
Still get stuck at the same place, x98 starts to boot then goes into win 10 update screen, flashes 64%, immediately jumps to 95% and then goes into the teclast boot screen again and continues to repeat this loop forever. This action appears to be overriding any attempt to boot from the usb.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

Some posted that the factory reset may fail when an SD card is in the slot. I need to add that info to my tricks/tips post.
So maybe remove your sdcard if it’s in there. That’s all I got atm. Sucks that you’re having such a frustrating experience!
February 22, 2016 at 6:02 pm #26743Checked that – no card (was hoping they sent me a free one) so I am contacting the seller. Thanks again for everything.
February 28, 2016 at 5:14 pm #27417Good day.
Sorry for my bad English. I use the Google Translator.
___I also have the Teclast x98Plus. I am very pleased.
My biggest problem is the lack of support for SDXC cards.
SDHC is not a problem.
In Device Manager, I have no error.
The replacement of the Windows 8.1 files to the SD reader brought no success. A connected USB storage does not make any problems, even at 128GB. However, here the stick is recognized as HDD.
Now I have downloaded the installation files in December 2015 from geekbuying (from 02/25/2016). However, that’s a pretty big effort and I would like to know if this SDXC problem is eliminated.
Otherwise my x98Plus going very well.I have Revision “A5C8”
Android-SDXC is no Problem, Card reading/Whriting is ready.
