I can tell you that v1 and v4 have the same power adapter – I have both. In my opinion the difference in behavior (if led is turning green when fully charged) comes from jumper playing with declared values – battery full charge capacity and designed capacity (which on v4 are both the same 48000mWh, but on v1 designed is 48000 mWh and fully charged is 53010mWh). On v1 when the charge reached 48000 the led turned green, on my v4 it never does.
These values are overstated=WRONG (should be around 36000mWh). It is a little dirty trick Jumper do to get better windows remaining time on battery estimate, which is calculated based on capacity / current power. Anyway I tested both chargers with power metter and both terminate charge correctly even though led doesnt turn green on v4.

Is there a way to change this with a software update, or is it hardware?
October 3, 2017 at 5:17 pm #72960Could it be that Jumper cheaped out on the latter versions by using a single color LED for a charging indicator instead of a multi-color LED?
Another example: they substituted a cheap eMMC (BWIN 4.5 spec) when they went to the precision touchpad and SSD hatch in v4.

But some people, like me, got Samsung EMMC. I barley notice the difference between that emmc and my SSD.

It boots faster, but I didn’t notice a huge difference in speed either after installing my SSD. It probably depends on the size of the file.
It was still necessary though just to get the extra storage space. 64 GB is not enough.

Hi
I have a V4 (December 2017) and charging light turns green on full charge. Fortunate enough to get Sandisk EMMC also.
Searching now for a 256Gb SSd
I found this on Amazon but temp out of stock. Anyone found a better deal anywhere ? (I would like to stick with a branded SSD).

December 30, 2017 at 10:01 pm #76273Hi,
I also have a V4 (December 2017) and also my charging light turns green on full charge. My eMMC is Sandisk with Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 188.879 MB/s and Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 76.546 MB/s. I ordered a Crucial SSD 275gb M.2 2280 at a good price, I hope it will work…

EZB3PRO V5 (at least mine) has working power led (Orange when it charges, Green when it reaches full charge), but still the windows has an endless “charging…” statement.
I’d say that power management (battery reliability and trustworthiness) and power supply hardware (charger, plug, connection type) are the big weak spots of the EZBook 3 Pro where it’s really evident the drop of the overall quality.
January 8, 2018 at 8:35 pm #76623I have a v4 with SanDisk eMMC and the status light does not change to green when the battery is fully charged, anyone else experience this?
