If you create a bootable Macrium Reflect stick directly out from the Macrium program itself ( best you do it on your healthy tablet, because of drivers ), it will not be a “Linux” stick,  but a pure Windows-pe stick.

Windows pe  builds a Miniwindows temporary in the ram only and therefore does never touch your internal mass storage. And Macrium reflect does not exist for Linux, so I do not know what you mean with “Linux” stick. Did you boot a Linux- or  (<span style=”display: inline !important; float: none; background-color: transparent; color: #333333; cursor: text; font-family: Georgia,’Times New Roman’,’Bitstream Charter’,Times, serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;”>Knoppix</span>) stick before?

OK, never mind. I give my best to help you. Its up to you to try or not. If you don´t try, you have to reflash (setup ) Android from original software to get Android back. And because the whole disk will be wiped fist you have  to do the same with Windows.

So finally you have nothing to loose by risking a try. No risks no wins!

Another hint: I tried copy paste into this box it worked without problems. Use notepad for the text. Pure text without formatings works fine.

Ups something happend after using the onscreen keyboard in the box. But the unreadable text is not important.

If  you agree to you use only Windows on the tablet then you better install the newest version from November 2018, by making a windows installation stick with the Microsoft media creation tool. So you will be able to use the full size of your mass storage (64 GB I guess). But before doing,Backup all non Microsoft tablet drivers with the “double driver” freeware Program on a stick and restore them after installing Windows. Be shure to install exactly  the same W10 version that is installed on the tablet. ( w10 home x64 I guess)

The Linux stick I used was Puppy Linux and had nothing to do with Macrium PE.

If I want to make one of the Cubes a windows only tablet – will the Windows install stick delete all partitions during the installation process and will it not interfere with the dual boot partition?

And where can I get the original flash file for this Cube iWork 10 Ultimate TCL?

First: Before You will install new Windows try to restore the Android partitions only from your healthy tablet reflect image. Uncheck all Windows Partitions ( 1 fat32 and 2 NTFS ). Only Fat32 and NTFS partitions belongs to Windows. before restoring!! Macrium will never touches resize or delete partitions excluded for restore!

if  restore fails You do it again but delete all Android partitions one by one as I  described during the restore dialog. See the images above (advanced options).

P.S: During the Macrium dialog You can see the position of the small hidden  fat32 partition. That contains the bootloader for Windows. On my x98 tablet it is the first partition at all.  “Minitool Partition Wizzard” free edition shows all partitions, hidden or non Windows ones. ThenYou can even explore the contents of the Win partitions. This Prog. can also be used for deleting the non Win partitions. I did it on my teclast tablet.

If it fails again, means the Android partitions does not match into the free space. Means ist is not exactly the same Android. But I don´t think so.

The choice, booting Android or Windows came out of the bios and have nothing to do with partitions. If There is a healthy Android and/or Windows the tablet will all ways show all healthy Systems for booting.

First I don´t recommend to install a brand new Windows. There is a possibility to resize the Windows system partition in the advanced options of the Macrium restore dialog. But before You should backup Windows from the broken tablet. If finally You want do it, please make a new post before doing, because i don´t know if the installer places the fat32 on the right position.

P.S: Hope I encouraged You for doing. May be my time zone is different to Yours. I am a Swiss living in Thailand.

For doing research for original software for Your tablet I need a Photo from the back of the tablet case. The absolute full and correct information about it . Sometimes there exists different subversions of the same Tablet!
