    Hi chaps.

Still adoring my Cube i9; use it nearly every day, especially since modding it and chucking a new Transcend 512 in there.

However, therein lies the rub. Literally. Since I use it everyday, and in all sorts of places, the back looks like a herd of deranged cats mistook it for a twelve-inch block of catnip and belly rubs.

I’d like to get a back upper and lower skin to cover the wreckage via a site like https://dbrand.com/shop/surface-pro-3-skins … But I don’t know which one’ll fit properly. I first heard that it most resembled a Surface 2 on the back, and then 3, and then somebody else said it was like 4. This is all well and good, but they’re all different.

I can cut out the notch at the top myself with a scalpel if need be; just looking for the right skin to match the edges properly (not bothered about the front – it’s tempered glass and looks just fine). If I had to trim the edges myself it’d look awful.

    Please let me know, cheers!

    [Edit]

finally i’ve found time to pimp my cube i9. aluminum color and carbon sticker , see attached images. i like it very much i am a overt nerd XD

I love what you’ve done with it, too … going to swipe those Windows stickers for sure when I find the right skin.

The height of the Surface 4 skin is perfect. It’s missing about 7mm on each side. See my last post in this thread:

That gives me a rough dimension to work with; thank you!

I can’t buy a clear one – the horse has very much bolted from the stable on that front- but I guess I can aim at a Surface 4 compatible back skin and go from there. Just worried about the edges not covering completely. I guess it looks like a case of either this or going down the spray-paint route!
