I am not aware of any tweakable setting in the UEFI / BIOS that will solve your problem. I did not change any settings in the BIOS when I installed my KinSpec SSD (except the boot order). It works great.
Have you benchmarked your new drive? If so, can you post the results?
It’s a new Windows 10 installation, so I’m guessing that it could be a driver issue. Have you explored that possibility?
If you still have the original copy of Windows 10 on the eMMC, or a USB backup of the original system, you could try cloning or restoring that to the new SSD. If that doesn’t work, it’s probably a hardware issue.
September 21, 2017 at 1:02 pm #72436hi matt,
had the same ssd as you are, i managed to install a fresh copy of windows on my ssd with all drivers installed, and i also experienced that slow experience which you faced, this is what i have done to my system hope it helps you.
system protection/advance/performance/visual effects -> adjust for best performance
disable windows update and under microsoft app store/settings/app update -> off
under msconfig/startup -> i disable all
uninstall all the games and apps that i dont use and i end up having a fast machine again.

I tried the adjustments you made to windows but unfortunately doesn’t seem to have changed much.
Have attached the benchmark test for new drive.
Will see about restoring the original windows install onto the drive over weekend hopefully will sort it.

My m.2 is the same as yours and the benchmark is much higher in all tests… The only thing is that I have the Ezbook pro 3 v.3 (I guess… because the touch-pad is the old one…). I would suggest that you put again the system on the eMMC and redo all the process again. I used EaseUS Todo Backup and followed this tutorial. If what to give it a try, don’t forget to tickle the option “optimize to ssd”.
Good luck

Those benchmark results are terrible! Something is definitely amiss. I agree with CS, start over if you can. You might check the physical installation of the drive as well.
October 14, 2017 at 1:17 pm #73386I bet you that you have the same issues as me, and to this date no one replied to my topic
October 14, 2017 at 6:59 pm #73397Bei der Installation auf eine m.2 SSD alle Partitionen auf dem eMMC löschen.
Dadurch werden alle benötigten Partitionen für Windows 10 auf die SSD geschrieben.
When installing to an m.2 SSD, delete all partitions on the eMMC.
This will write all required partitions for Windows 10 to the SSD.
