I’ve just received the Cube i7 Book from AlieExpress (Shenzhen Ele Technology Limited) on first inspections everything seems to be working fine. I didn’t bother purchasing the Cube stylus pen as I though I’ll try the pens I have with my Wacom Graphics Tablets (Bamboo MTE-450, Bamboo Splash-Pen Surface Tablet (CTL471) and the Wacom CTH-480S-S Intuos Pen and Touch).
I’m pretty sure all the pens are ERM, but I’m unable to get any of these pens to work.. Completely unresponsive even after installing the i7 Wacom drivers.
Can anyone help?
Many Thanks

August 11, 2016 at 1:53 pm #46430Still no cure, Even with the Wacom FEEL driver (ISD_DualTouch_732-12.exe) install. I’ve attached a screen dump of the Device Manager, everything appears normal apart from the “Mice and Other pointing devices”, should there be 3 HID-compliant mouse devices?.. maybe my stylus pens are not compatible?

Let’s begin by briefly discussing pens that don’t work, because not all Wacom pens are compatible with the particular digitizer that is used in tabletPCs.
<> Pens for Wacom Intuos, Graphire and Bamboo graphics tablets will not work with a tabletPC. Interestingly, Cintiq graphics tablet pens are mixed; some Cintiq pens work (early versions) and some do not (later versions). The Bamboo graphics tablet pens (Capture, Connect, Splash and Create) are NOT compatible.
<> Although I hope everyone would know, N-trig (and the now uncommon FinePoint) pens will not work with Wacom digitizers and vice-versa. Also, the new Atmel and Synaptics pens are also incompatible.
<> Finally, the Bamboo Solo* pen is not compatible in the sense that it does not work with the pen digitizer; however, it will work with tablets that incorporate a touch-sensitive capacitive sensor, so the Solo pen can be useful with TabletPCs that have combined pen and touch (as the Surface Pro does). But because it doesn’t work with the pen digitizer, the Bamboo Solo pen cannot produce high-accuracy inking results.
August 12, 2016 at 2:45 pm #46532@Scott : none of your pen are compatible with the digitizer that the cube i7 book uses. You have to fond an old surface pro 1 or 2 Pen, some old tablet pc pen, or some from the Samsung Galaxy notes.
At the end, the Cube stylus is not that bad.
August 12, 2016 at 3:42 pm #46536Thank you both for the advice. I’ve just tried an old Samsung S pen and it appears to be working fine…
