Going by your experience i think you are better off buying from a reputable brand like samsung and huawei etc. The premium is well worth it as the tablet will last a few years unlike a smartphone.

Seeing as how you will be mostly watching videos on it the speakers alone are worth the premium, the best of the chinese tablets will at best be not horrible.

not to mention the better display where some newer model will even support HDR like the newest galaxy tab

Hmm. What tablet will support hdr?

I was looking to Samsung, but its like 3x the price to a chuwi hi 9 air and you know, in a years time i can resell this to someone at least for half price also.

When it comes to sound im not stressed about speakers. i always use my Bluetooth sony mdr 1000x anyway so its not something i even care about.

I have checked the Huawei but its also very very expensive comapred to the chuwi hi 9 air and im not feeling the vibe or paying out to much.

I just had a very expensive tablet, the Lenovo tab 3 PRO 64gb LTE version with projector and it was such a piece of junk i sold it few days ago.

The battery life on the Lenovo was crap, if i forgot to turn it off it was dead within hours and i didnt even install Facebook etc just for keeping the battery as good as possible. Accubattery reported only half the value of MAH and well, the projector was a joke! haha,

i can buy a chuwi hi 9 air AND a professional projector for home theater set up for the price of that Lenovo tablet.

I have thougt deeply and i guess im going for the chuwi since it has LTE and 2K.

And who knows, maybe Xiaomi get it togheter and release a nice tablet soon so.. yeah.. Well see.
