Teclast F5 black screen after BIOS update

My Teclast’s F5 touchpad wasn’t working so I tried flashing a new version of the BIOS, as described in this thread: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/teclast-f5-bios-update/

The problem is that it only shows a black screen when powered up now.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? I’ve tried unplugging the battery of a few hours, pressing DEL/ESC and blindly reset the BIOS, but none of those have worked so far.

I am having the same problem. I just got the laptop this week. I wanted to boot from USB which was impossible with the current BIOS. After the BIOS update and reboot everything went black. When I press Caps Lock the LED won’t toggle. I take this as a particularly bad sign.

I think at this point, the BIOS chip will need to be replaced or temporarily removed from the board for flashing of a new BIOS. But that is at the moment beyond my abilities.

guys, I updated it to 3.06, but it turned into a brick. I need the bios V3.02, can someone get it for me, please

My teclast F5 is also bricked updating the BIOS. I located the BIOS chip on the mother board.

I am about to buy a USB programmer from china for this kind of chip. it’s very cheap.
