Have a look through some of the posts here. If you can’t find it I’ll give a link later but this is a known problem and you need to update the bios. You will need a thumbstick, usb hub and keyboard
February 10, 2016 at 4:55 pm #25631Hi Chris, Yes found the below link from your forum , also followed the steps mentioned in the post .
As per the steps now my tablet reading the USB associated with USB HUB , Also entering to Shell Mode. Problem is , My Keyboard attached with USB Hub is not detecting any-more which is required for typing shell command . Could you please tell me if i’m doing something wrong here ?? . Why my keyboard is not detecting in shell mode ?

- You need to format the pen drive to fat32 format and name it WINPE.
- Move all the files from inside the Bios Solutions folder of the Rar folder to the root of the pen drive
- Tip: I renamed the bios from BIOS_T12_AW_464_tPAD_V113-Telcast.bin to bios.bin to makes things easy
- Boot the X98 Pro and mashing F7 you should see a boot menu.
- Select your pen drive.
- Now you’re in Shell
- Navigate to your pen drive. Typing fs2: did it for me, yours could be fs1:-4:
- Now type afuefi.efi BIOS_T12_AW_464_tPAD_V113-Telcast.bin /p /b /n /x
- Or if you renamed the bios like I did type: afuefi.efi bios.bin /p /b /n /x

what happens when you only have the keyboard connected, can you navigate the bios? I was using an otg hub, not the otg cable + hub but I would assume either should work fine. What are you using? Can you power your hub maybe? Also from the above steps I had to type fs0: so if 1-4 doesn’t work try that.

1/:
It seems you’re using a Bluetooth keyboard, you should use an USB keyboard (Bluetooth don’t work in BIOS).
I think the MicroUSB port on your keyboard is only used for the charge, not the data.
2/:
You must use an OTG USB hub, this one is good as it can also charge the tablet when using USB peripherals: http://www.banggood.com/4-Port-Micro-USB-OTG-Charger-HUB-Cable-For-Tablet-Phone-p-975460.html?p=3001141430230201504L
February 12, 2016 at 4:50 pm #25815HI Mooms, Thanks it works fine for me , I’m able to type in the commands in shell prompt. But now I have different issue , It won’t recognizes the command fs0,fs1….fs4 . Please advise any alternate solution for this .
I have attached the screen shot for your reference.
Thanks
Prasanta Rout

As explained on the page that Chris wrote: http://techtablets.com/2015/10/teclast-x98-pro-boot-to-bios-missing-emmc-fix-bios-update/
Navigate to your pen drive. Typing fs2: did it for me, yours could be fs1: – fs4:
There’s a : after the number.
In case it is not already clear: You need a USB hub connected to the OTG cable, and a USB keyboard and a pen-drive with the BIOS files connected to it.
