WOW 4 hours LOL it was 45 for me (ADSL 1.3mo/s)!! Anyways, yes i think you should configure the bios as mine, because as i say, to resume:
-I had the G1d bios not configurated: ONLY WIFI WORKING, eveything as uknown devices
-Then G1D bios configurated: everything detected BUT sound and touch didn’t work
-I install J1D bios not configurated: Only wifi working, everything else as unknown device
-J1D bios configurated: Everything detected and everything worked
And what serial number do you have?
December 13, 2015 at 4:07 pm #18441Q32G22151000xxx bought one week ago.
Which one is yours?
Where did you find these images?
Acctually i am updating W10 with the official tool of windows from W8.1. Then I will check the drivers you posted
A little compilation of the specif drivers for windows 8.1/10: https://mega.nz/#!ackBGaiQ!r6RK3p9Wu5TSYdRYop537r8ADuGzw3XFaIpYeU82YuE The pack contains: -MYi2c touch drivers -Broadcom WIFI/Bluettoth drivers -Intel WDM wierd drivers
With the configuration of the BIOS that you have just posted. That should be the same as installer a clear image.
If everything work I will install your image.
December 13, 2015 at 4:17 pm #18443I have same serial number as yours. So what you are planning to do is installing windows 10 from your windows 8.1? So i suppose that it was the original Windows 8.1 with every drivers already installed?
Anyways we will see, if you have problems we will find the solution. But you guys really don’t want to contact me otherways??!
December 13, 2015 at 5:53 pm #18448Thank you Frédéric for sharing the old BIOS file, it REALLY saved me! I totally screwed myself loading the “newer” BIOS from the download section on my 221510XXXXX and couldn’t get the touch or sound to work no matter what driver I used, I tried re-flashing with the older BIOS archived in the download section and that didn’t help, I’m assuming because it was never meant for the 221510 serials. But thankfully I found your post and re-flashed with the old BIOS you posted and now all is back to normal!
The whole reason I flashed the BIOS in the first place was to fix my USB ports (the tablet’s USB ports were somehow disabled from the factory when I received my unit and I read that re-flashing the BIOS should fix that). Well the re-flash fixed my USB but broke my touchscreen and sound, so anyone with a 221510XXX that has dead USB ports, use the instructions provided here: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/disabled-usb-ports-how-enable-again/ to re-flash the BIOS without access to the USB ports, but be sure to use the BIOS Frederic provides at the top of this page.
I’m staying on 8.1 for now since everything is working. I hope they archive this 221510XXX BIOS in the downloads section here for others with the same serial, because currently the two Vi10 BIOS files there now will just cause trouble for people on the 221510XXX serials 🙂
Cheers!
December 13, 2015 at 6:49 pm #18454Hey Brian, i am really happy that your VI10 works again! Thanks for your verry sympathic feedback. For eveyone, as you can see the BIOS is the source of most hardware issues on Vi10 221510 version. And by the way you really should stay on 8.1 for now at least because in windows 10, there is no hardware issues but from time to time there is big freezes and blue screen error messages. So 8.1 is more stable. And an other thing, you have the original 8.1 installation?
December 13, 2015 at 6:52 pm #18455My (no)progress is:
1 I uploaded W10 from W8.1 that the Chuwi brings. With the official tool of Windows. At this point everything works…usb wifi touch…
2 Put the settings of the BIOS like Frederic said.
3 Install the drivers called Genesis pack,
Result: Touch doesnt work… wifi usb ok.
Next step. Install W10 from Frederic`s images and see what happen. MyBIOS is J1D so its the good one.
December 13, 2015 at 7:04 pm #18456Yes John i think it might be the best idea, because i can’t really help you with something i don’t know… But if you could tell us what’s going on on device manager it could be helpul. Anyways, with the images i provide i can assure you at least that it work
December 13, 2015 at 7:16 pm #18457Device manager now
December 13, 2015 at 7:17 pm #18458DOOON’T WORRY it is normall!!
December 13, 2015 at 7:23 pm #18460Now in order for you to have the touchscreen working:
1.Install dpinst32.exe (you already did it i guess),then reboot
2.Put icnfirmware.sys and MYI2C.sys on c:/Windows/system32/drivers and reboot
3.Normally it is okay. If it is not, go on device manager, select myi2c, update, search on computer, choose from pilots on my computer, then disc, browse and select the myi2c.sys and let it install and reboot
December 13, 2015 at 7:23 pm #18461otherwise, sound is working?
December 13, 2015 at 7:57 pm #18469Frederic, you are a fucking master!!
It works perfect! I think the key was copy icnfirmware.sys and MYI2C.sys on c:/Windows/system32/drivers and reboot
