FULL Problem description here :
My laptop was running fine. Has been since I got it and reinstalled a clean version of Windows 10. Bought it new a couple years ago.
Anyways, I was messing with “video” settings in the bios and after I saved and exited, my screen is black/blank/no backlight either. I can tell that it is turning on, because external mouse leds light up when power on. When I hold the power button for 10 seconds, the leds in the mouse turn off. I’m assuming that it just isn’t showing video. I don’t have a cable to try external monitor.
What I am attempting to do is to reset my bios to “OPTIMAL SETTINGS”. I can’t see what I’m doing though. I would like if someone could post pictures of the bios screens and tell me how many button presses to navigate blind essentially.
- What button gets me in bios? F2 or Del?
- My bios screen was tiny font in top left corner of screen. Which option do I need to select? (1-3 down arrows and press enter, etc…)
- How many right arrows to get to page where I can reset to “OPTIMAL SETTINGS”?
- Do I press enter and need down arrow presses? Hit enter and do I need to confirm?
- Can I F10 exit and save? Need confirm?
Thanks for the help!! I helped out a bunch back when this came out!! Please help!
Pics or video would help immensely!!
