I ordered the whole set: X2 tablet, Pen, and keyboard from Gearbest using PayPal (at least I can use that for leverage to refund if necessary). I am hoping to have them before the new year… Perhaps I am being too optimistic.
December 4, 2015 at 9:16 pm #17644I am getting prepared to do the clean installation when my X2 arrives…
Are you preparing your USB media with FAT32 for use with a UEFI Windows 10 installation or are you preparing the USB Media as NTFS for use with a BIOS/CSM installation? I am imagining that with the BIOS used on the X2, that UEFI is the correct method.
Also For what Its worth, I do intend in doing a very nice pictorial of a heatsink mod using copper shims and high thermal conductivity heatsink pads (Pads that are at least 5W/mK thermal conductivity).
Have a great weekend all!

December 7, 2015 at 3:32 am #17808Greetings everyone. Just a heads up for those looking for a source with IMMEDIATE shipping (they have the keyboards and stylus IN HAND ready to ship) I found an AliExpress seller that has sent me images of then items with a timestamp photo for proof. They immediately responded to my email and I have cancelled my keyboard/stylus order from GearBest and have ordered the keyboard from this vendor:
December 7, 2015 at 6:57 am #17812thankyou so much for reply about 64bit,
a question for owners of core m, if you previously owned quad core atom..
performance wise?
multitab browsing, windows in general.. whats performance like worth upgrading, or better to wait a 6mths-year or so and hope core m improves
December 7, 2015 at 9:30 am #17815Greetings to everyone. I modified cooling system of the tablet and achieved 67 degrees max under stress tests load and 3d mark 06 score of 6350. So no throtling just tdp limit. I described the process here:

Sorry, the link is in russian and it is the second part.
The first part is above, 2-3 pages earlier.December 8, 2015 at 6:25 pm #17965Oh my, you dont think you can upload them here with some english comments? It would be really interesting to hear what you have to say about the pics
December 8, 2015 at 11:55 pm #17982Hi – I have the Pipo W3F (Z3735F cpu).
I think there is a significant difference – even though Win10 is optimised for low-power CPUs (like the Z3735F), you can still notice the difference. It also helps that there is 4gb ram instead of 2gb ram.
I’d check out the “Teclast X16 Power” – has the latest “low power” Cherry Trail CPU and 8GB ram – although at the similar pricepoint its at, might be worthwhile to just go the X2 Pro or other Core-m based tablets.
December 9, 2015 at 9:56 am #18004Hi everybody!
I’ve ordered a Teclast X2 pro + keyboard + stylus + 64GB microSD C10 samsung for 405$ at gearbest on 27 november.
Still my tracking number in the DHL website says they are not started moving.
1- Is it normal? How much time I should expect for delivery?
2- Then, what is the internal SSD format?
Would you advice to open the tablet, change the memory and do some of the heat paste change done/suggested above?
(I’ve opened a lot of laptop PCs, to change broken parts, clean and replace thermal paste, ecc…I have some experience….. it’s similar with this tablet?)
3- There is actually somewhere an android ROM for this tablet? (To do a proper dual boot and not just virtual.)
4- Is the stylus good? I can’t wait to see it working… there are some detailed videos of the stylus at work?
Thank you guys already for any answer!
This thread is life-saving!
December 9, 2015 at 11:42 am #18018In short – I used 0.4mm copper plate between CPU crystal and copper CPU socket with Colaboratory Liquid Metal pro thermo interface applied to contact crystal-copper plate and plate-socket. I covered CPU contact pins with anti conductive lacquer to prevent surprises from liquid metal. Than, I removed aluminium sticker from tablet cover and connected all silver conductive stickers in therms of electronic conductivity. I used thermo adhesive artctic silver to stick copper plate 0.2mm on tablet cover and than two copper plates 0.4 and 1mm on top of it to provide contact socket-tablet cover(arctic mx4 is between socket and cover). And I placed copper plate 0.4mm in the pit on CPU socket too.Nothing very hard but still a lot of work.
