what do you think you can get from the dispute? Money to buy a new license?
September 30, 2015 at 6:15 pm #12239Man that sucks. Do you really have to make a new install? Cant you just change the key?
I might do that, but I don’t really trust having that crack on the system. Before I use it as my own personal unit I’ll fully reinstall it I think. But will keep it as the Teclast install for now.
Teclast have set this up with very light throttling thermal limits. In fact a 5 minute 100% load CPU stress test didn’t see any throttling at all! It held 2.0Ghz max clocks on both cores the whole 5 minutes. That’s impressive. But as a result, the cores got up to 88 degrees. Not quite the 92 degrees as Rahul’s test.
See the straight line, 5 minutes without even dropping it holds the 2.0Ghz well. The Onda V919 drops to about 1.4Ghz after 20 seconds or so. This is much better. on full load it heats up, but as soon as the CPU load drops the temp lowers about 10 degrees in a few seconds.
@the-lord That’s odd, was the touch working before you installed Win 10 in English?Chris | Admin

Yes, hopefully $20-30 bucks to cover a legit CD key.

Hmmm, are you installing it to C:/Windows/inf ? It’s an exact dump of my touchsetting.gt and then rebooting? (I’m sure you are, but just incase)

Now if I recall correctly, it was showing the jumping behavior on the chinese os as well. I had thought it to be a problem because of the keyboard dock. I read my old posts and remembered. That was one of the reasons I quickly reinstall Windows 10 English. I guess I will talk to the seller on how to return this or get a replacement.
Not sure if Aliexpress has replacement option. Some help or information here would be helpful to me.
September 30, 2015 at 8:58 pm #12268Damn, so it seems you have a faulty touch screen then? Ali express returns are a pain, just make sure you record a video of the jumping issue and they will no doubt ask you to post it back for a refund or replacement. It works, but it just takes a long time the whole process.
How do you mean it’s jumping, does the touch register on the other side of the screen but only on part of the screen? Or is it flashing touches all over the place?

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30October 1, 2015 at 11:20 am #12298I have recorded a video and sent them. By jumping I mean, the pointer keeps going to the top left corner. A pen input is being registered there as I can see te pen dot appear and disappear near the top left corner.

Doesn’t sound right at all. Well, best of luck on the replacement or return. If you can will you get a new one?

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30October 1, 2015 at 11:37 am #12302Had a chat with the seller. He is okay with return and refund. Waiting for him to agree to the dispute. Will place another order for the same tablet later maybe. Not sure form whom should I order again. Go with the same seller or another one. The current one is offering a free keyboard.
Also, did he send you the pen, keyboard and tablet all three or just the keyboard and the tablet?
October 3, 2015 at 7:47 am #12480So if i buy one, can I be 100% sure that it I can install a English version of win 10 and that everything will work?

Yes, just install my double drive dump. I have done a fresh install of Windows 10 today and what a difference. My X2 Pro was infected with some malware Chinese app. Once I restore my driver backup it’s been so much cooler. No longer is the tablet getting so hot and battery life has doubled. The back used to get super hot and most of the time now. Now it gets hot still but only when pushed gaming or benchmarking.
Speaking of which this tablet has to be one of the faster I’ve used for sure. It’s quick at everything and I’m even using it as a desktop now and it works great. The FULL SIZED USB 3 ports are the best thing and all tablets should have them.
Wireless speeds are good: (My desktop PC using a killer networking lan port gets this speed)

X2 Pro Wirless speed test.So far my only complaints are mostly minor, sharp edges, little heavy etc. Otherwise, this tablet is looking like a keeper for me.
The bad points are: You’ll need your own Win 10 key and to do a fresh install. Don’t trust the Ali Express sellers hack job. Can get very hot when gaming long periods on it. But all Core M’s do.
@the-lord I didn’t get the pen, I thought it was included… So got to order one. Have you posted your one back? Did he agree to it?, when I installed the drivers I didn’t even need the touchsettings.gt file.Chris | Admin

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30October 5, 2015 at 6:33 am #12614Would you recommend this over the Cube i7 Stylus?
For +$80 you get one inch more and two full sized usb3 ports, however the casing seems inferior, it weights also a litte more but still has same battery capacity, not sure if it’s worth the price.
Is the display laminated?October 5, 2015 at 10:48 am #12625@Chris. He agreed for a full refund on return. I have already sent it back through EMS. Did you get a refund for the fake Win 10 key?
The tablet is absolutely worth buying. I will buy another one as soon as I get the refund processed.
@Viktor The display is not laminated. The casing seems inferior but works pretty well. I have the Cube i7 stylus as well and I would recommend the X2 Pro over it.October 5, 2015 at 12:05 pm #12630@the-lord Not yet, they have answered me saying they will work to find a solution. But nothing yet. I took some screenshots of the OEM8 activation hack and virus just before my fresh install. The tablet is running great now on my own Win 10 English install. Driver restoration with doubledriver worked perfectly. So far this has to be the smoothest Core M Chinese tablet I’ve used.
@Viktor I agree with Rahul, the Cube i7 casing is better as it’s all metal. But the paint job however, isn’t as the Cube i7 Stylus is very easy to scratch. But the full USB 3 ports, better cameras, audio, larger keyboard make it better overall I feel. At least for me personally. The Wacom stylus on the i7 will be better however than the activate one on this model. But I’m not a stylus user (only on my Note 5)Only the Cube i7 Core M 11.6″ model has a fully laminated display and rumored hardened glass like gorilla glass. (But never confirmed)
I think I’ll need a tempered glass screen protector for this tablet if I keep it. The keyboard is scratching up the screen protector already. Did you order one Rahul?
