Tablet dont recognize Sd card becouse this method is for p80 version !!!! There are much difference between those tablets mainly p80 doesnt have sd card slot., so u got root on it its true but for what ? u cant do anything becouse main reason was to have a opportunity to install apps on sd card and this shitty method doesnt work !!! Really i tried 4 different sd cards 8 16 32 64 and none of them was working ( adata sandisk kingston)
June 25, 2016 at 6:19 am #41935The X80 Plus method works, but with the following caveats:
- The display resolution is off. Fixable using a resolution changer app
- Severe battery drain
Would not suggest this root method.
July 1, 2016 at 10:44 am #42392Hmm strange , I’ve used the plus method on a pro , don’t have drains , sd card(s) works , resolution can be reset by a DPI app like Resolution Changer
used these DPI setting width 1200 Height 1920 DPI 312
only got some SD failures in windows but is already raised in other forum topics and sandisk only works for me
I even installed the pro image on a plus model and works fine also (except for one boot logo error message)
July 1, 2016 at 6:12 pm #42418Rooted mine fine before I bricked it, SD card works, stable etc. I have copied what I wrote in my bricked thread as a reply for the root method.
It may be the same as what has already been posted here but it really does work and there may be a difference so I thought I would share in case it helps anyone:
As for rooting I can’t remember where I found the particular method as I hunted for a long time and must have browsed a hundred sites.
I do however have the files which I have re-uploaded for you to use, there are some poorly translated instructions but it does work. Please note that I removed windows before doing this and the root method has 2 caveats:
1: The device will boot with the wrong dpi but you can install an app to change this to the correct value
2: The device will think there is a sim card slot so you will have a no sim icon in the notification tray.
I used the device for a good week and can confirm that it was stable and the sd card slot worked with my 64GB Samsung evo+
There are 2 sets of su folders as I cannot remember which one worked, also the instructions say to try it a couple of times. It took me at least 6 attempts running root.bat etc but it did work so be persistent.
Anyway the files are below, if you need a hand please ask.
mega.co.nz/#!ah91gC4T!ZLd1vwaIutR6Q0nWpo0KbrcB1c-xHsS16DM5irQkJgo
Edit: I think it may be the same as what vpghrlm linked to but as he didn’t mention anything about the no sim card notification it’s still worth a shot.
March 30, 2018 at 4:58 pm #141314I want to be root on this tablet , especially to move applications to the SD card. Now you can do the teclast x98 root plus, which is identical to this except for the screen is lower resolution. I think someone tried and did not work out . Mind, to see if anyone could. Greetings, and thank you in advance.
Try 360 root app it works great. like kingroot and kingoroot they all are one click rooting app
