Hey guys, I have kind of a big problem with my yesterday arrived new X98 Plus II:
First I setted up Windows 10, everything worked fine! I got the latest Updates for Windows, a few times restarting the system but no problems till that point. Today I started the Android for the first time. I uninstalled the chinese apps I had no use for and after that I discovered the TECLAST OTA App. I installed the first update (around 45 MB). Everything seemed Ok, but than the restart and “android is upgrading….starting apps”. After 4 hours I interrupted and restarted the tablet. The update was finished and complete (a new message said…) and I checked the OTA app again. OH! A second OTA Update! So I downloaded the second update, had a fresh start of the system AND…
since than everything is dead. The only thing I see is the TECLAST logo with the “tPAD” writing below. I have already went threw some tries of fixing it…wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset, enable fastboot, resetting the bios defaults, and so on. But nothing can change the behavior of my brand new tablet!
Any ideas or at least a tutorial how to restore both images? Please anybody who knows something!

Please report if you have any progress or idea how to fix that.
Maybe flashing the original ROMs would restore the function but I can’t find a tutorial for x98 plus ii restoring the windows and android OS to factory standard…

I have an A5C6 that I never converted to dual boot. I see people that are having so many problems with the dual boot system. Teclast did not do their homework and the dual boot that everyone was crying for has been and still is a mess. I have not have any problems with my single OS tablet, they tried to make it do too much and it f’d up big time.
I hope you can fix your tablet. An OTA that bricks a tablet is crazy!

Hey mooms, I have already downloaded the files for my c2d6 from the teclast website. Unfortunately the instructions are in chinese. I have found your last link and downloaded the english document “trad.docx” but there isn’t written a part about rooting the tablet. In the other topic I have found this
What seems to be a tutorial for rooting the tablet. What should I do first? Root the tablet? Or just start with the instructions from the “trad.docx”.
I just want to get my plus ii back working. Losing my data isn’t a problem for me. Thanks for help and sorry for not knowing anything about that rooting/flashing-stuff.

September 26, 2016 at 3:18 pm #50808Hello, I’m new to the forum and I have recently acquired this tablet. I upgraded to the latest version windows without problems, but in android I have not tried the upgrade because of the comments I have read. You can update android by ota? android or I lose if I do? thanks greetings.
