Thanks for the registry trick! I can now select stuff with swiping.
Although there is definitely a improvement. It’s is till really bad compared to my other tablets/laptops/phones.
Sometimes it skips letters when typing! I have to press multiple times to get the letter to respond on the onscreen keyboard.April 13, 2016 at 6:43 am #33251GalParticipant

Are you fingers dry skin? I noticed it doesn’t register very well if you skin is dry. Also, does it happen all the time or just when there’s cpu load?April 14, 2016 at 10:44 am #33464WilliamsParticipant

My touch screen stank then I removed the (expensive non-generic, made for ipad) tempered glass from it and it became 500% better. Get rid of the protector.April 16, 2016 at 7:10 am #33724mooggleParticipant

Honestly who cares, even the best tablets are disposable devices… this one even more so.April 19, 2016 at 3:35 am #34202
Thank you for this trick for Windows, but what about Android ?
I encounter the same issue.
It is almost impossible to move an icon !
Very bad !
I temporarly solved this issue by using a mouse, but this is not possible when walking with the tablet…
There is really a problem !April 21, 2016 at 6:59 pm #34565TonyParticipant

This is what I wrote this morning to Teclast ([email protected]):
“Teclast X98 Plus Touchscreen issue…”
There is a serious problem with the touchscreen of this device.
It is almost unusable with Android.
To give you an example: It is almost impossible to move an Android application icon with my finger.
Try it, you will see it…
(many users a complaining about this, see forums…)
This is already my second email to you about this problem because you never answered to my first message.
Waiting for your prompt reply.
I strongly suggest that you also write to them if you encounter the same issue, so if they receive many complain, they will finally do something.
Thank you.April 30, 2016 at 6:40 pm #35658TonyParticipant

I’m facing similar issues. I bought a tempered glass protector from banggood and the touchscreen was terrible (this protector hasn’t got any hole for the camera, it seems that there is one with a hole that works fine). I replaced it with a non-glass protector and now it’s much better although not compared to my other Asus tablet…. It is strange because I downloaded o typical touchscreen test and it seems to be fine there (I’m running mirek190 3.0)
Regarding the stylus I have the Chinese copy of the adonit jot, I’ll test it and let you know. -> EDIT: tested, it’s horrible! It was not an incredible tool in my Asus tablet but here I wan hardly draw 2 points when I try to draw a line…….

I got the tempered glass one from Banggood as well. It made the screen unusable…very erratic and inconsistent touch response. I’m not sure, but I think it has something to do with how it’s placed down. I had some issues with air bubbles getting caught and had to lift it back up slightly to release the air pocket then placed it back down. It was smooth as can be, but the touch response in the areas of where the bubbles used to be was very flaky. But worked fine in other areas.
I eventually removed and trashed the screen protector and now the touch response is…for the most part…working well. There’s still the occasional missed touch here and there.
I know these screens are not scratch resistant, but I’m wondering how bad it can get without a screen protector if one is very careful with it.May 11, 2016 at 1:24 am #36756
Maybe I am wrong, but I have a a strong feeling that the touchscreen is much better after upgrading to Mirek 190 V3.
Try it, and let us know if you feel the same…
