Hello!
Several people have reported their Air 12.5-inch models emitting a buzzing noise near the usb-c port over on the MIUI forums which can seemingly only be stopped by turning on the keyboard backlight, so I was wondering if anyone here has noticed their computer having the same problem.
Personally for me, the noise isn’t always there, but seems to appear after heavy network data usage, playing music or low battery, I’m not really sure which is the cause. After some searching, I came up with a post about there being hyperthreading bugs in both the 6th and 7th gen m3 processors used in these models, and as some users in the MIUI forums thread suggested driver or BIOS updates as a way of solving it, and one even claimed that a driver update did significantly reduce the noise, I was wondering if this might indeed be the culprit.
Windows users can simply download the driver updates from Intel’s website, but as I’m using Linux, I have to wait for my distribution to make them available, so if anyone here with the same problem could confirm a driver update solving it, me and a lot of other people with this problem would be very grateful.

Im currently using Ubuntu 16.04 and found no solution. Do you know if with windows 10 pro and downloading drivers from intel website for this micro proccesor the problem will be solved? How can I upgrade Bios for this model anyway? Thank you very much!
