Chris, did you use this and if so…how about a more proper English translation 🙂
July 19, 2016 at 10:45 am #43907H Pham, you did a banggood review under the geekbuying post…if you can, delete it and paste again under the banggood one
fyi, I will be doing a review for banggood in maybe 1-2 weeks when I think I will receive my items? Unfortunately for me and banggood, I didn’t order tablets from banggood as I think banggood may be the best chinese “retail” experience for those of us “overseas”.
June 29, 2016 at 11:27 am #42287Daniel uses the forum handlebar of Arma? :p
Anyways, I have purchased Teclast X98 Air 3g, Teclast X98 Plus 3g and awaiting X80 Power (which may or may not be good). I have had good experiences with Teclast so far but many have not. Also, seems like the only 8″ tablet with more than 2gb/32gb is the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 at the moment.
June 27, 2016 at 10:34 am #42071So, I thought I’d provide another more recent review on geekbuying for you…not a very positive one
I made a purchase on 06/16/2016….on 06/23/2016 I just write to the asking to cancel the order since they have not shipped it yet. They responded a day later saying the reason the order wasn’t shipped out was because one item was out of stock. I then ask them if they could apply a email coupon discount on an item that is in my order I would wait. They replied today saying that, although the coupon is good from 06/23-07/23 that because I paid in 06/16, they cannot apply the coupon.
So, the order hasn’t shipped because of an out of stock item, and they can’t give me a discount on the un-shipped order…so I just cancelled the order. Or at least sent the request to cancel.
Evidently geekbuying won’t notify you of an out of stock item creating a delay in shipping that puts your order in a “processing” limbo…unless you inquire about the delay.
June 22, 2016 at 10:27 am #41712Hi Jon
I think the “best” right now is the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, but it has severe limitations. Almost like the limits of the brand and product it clones.
As it is, Chris has put up an unboxing of the Teclast X80 which I will have soon as well. It’s rated to weigh in at 332g.
June 20, 2016 at 8:56 pm #41599If you buy a product as it is designed you’re covered under warranty.
If you buy a product and alter it and mess it up, you just voided your warranty (even if you didn’t mess it up).
The plus side for some of these singular OS products is sometimes they get officially updated and supported with dual os functionality.
June 20, 2016 at 12:32 am #41511Hi Sam
You can follow my guide I posted here, it should be fairly easy with the pics

I think you providing some of the file archives is helpful enough. That baidu repository is a nightmare…unless of course if you have the account access 😉
June 19, 2016 at 10:24 pm #41495Hey okae, just to be sure, you do have an A6C9 model?
June 19, 2016 at 1:58 pm #41471bah, I mixed up the Air 3g with the Plus 3g, should look like this:

Eko, you don’t see the same *.bat file? For record again, I’m doing this from a Windows 10, 64bit desktop and using 7zip as my archive manager
June 19, 2016 at 12:14 pm #41467Oy, I was typing so much in Mozilla Firefox then clicked close tab by accident so hopefully I cover the bases again :p
It will become unrooted:

Download and Have:
Mirek rom from:

I know links change so I provide the file names

X98_PLUS_3G_(A6C9)_android_5.1_mirek190_v3.0.7z
Obtain the X98 Plus 3G (A6C9)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.04版固件 which I believe Rogodra provided?:Your v1.04 archive should look like this (using Windows 10 64bit and 7zip):

Rename the folder “android” to “rom”Copy from Mirek’s folder the folders “data” and “partition” and the *.bat file “FLASH_tool_Teclast_x98_air_devices-v3.0.bat”:
and paste them into the v1.04 folder to look like:
Then when everything is in place, power off the tablet and put it in DNX mode by pressing “power” and the volume “-+” at once;
connect to PC and double click the *.bat fileselect 1 or 2, I would think 2:
When it’s done, exit the screen with “e” (it will tell you), let the machine reboot and “upgrade” its android files and you should be goodBecause a bat file is used, I’m sure we could edit out the chinese software, but because I’m not an android guy I’m not really familiar with the android commands as I am the old Windows and DOS stuffJune 19, 2016 at 8:45 am #41447:p
So…Roberto and all…I took the plunge and did a full android stock wipe for you guys just to see if it REALLY works…and it does
Using http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/willing-to-pay-to-get-stock-rom-back-on-my-a6c9/#41443

choose 2

It will even revert how Windows sees your device and SD :p
June 19, 2016 at 8:16 am #41446both my tablets are dual boot and I recently took an adventure that might brick tablets for most users…but luckily I’m quite careful 😉

June 19, 2016 at 8:10 am #41445Hi Mary
I believe the issue lies with Android itself. The various versions either take away or add the ability to “move to sd card”. I THINK, if we use the stock rom for teclast tablets, almost nothing can be moved to sd…but if we use a modified rom we can use more…
In stock or teclast environments, we only have 2 options. Either going into “storage” or “apps”. If we go into apps and we can click within “storage” there is a chance we can move to sd.
Of course this is nothing compared to a windows environment where we can install 99% of our software to wherever we want.
