THx for this hint:

I found a very old 1GB mircoSD Card (formatted in FAT [not FAT32])
This Card is recognized from Win10!!!

I don’t know if it is because of the old FAT-format or the low Card-Size?!?

All my other 32GB Cards I tried are not recognized, no matter if I format them in FAT32, NTFS or ExFAT (The old FAT format is not possible to format in Windows with a 32GB Card)!

Are there any Ideas, what I can do to get my 32GB CArd to work???

I found a problem in the device Manager under “Memory Controller

one of the “class controller of SD Memory” reports yellow mark and says
The Device could not be started (Code10)
The E/A Device reports an E/A Error”

The EventLog says:
The Device SD\VID_27&OID_5048&PID_SD32G&REV_3.0\… could not migrate.

Is this also a driver problem or a real hardware defect?

Can somebody help me with this error messag?

I have several troubles with the DualBoot X98 Plus:

1. Wifi problems under Android 5.1: when waking up from black Screen (Standy) the wifi is connected to my network but shows 0 Signal strength. Turn off wifi and turn on wifi for reconnect solves this for one time!
2. No SD Card shown under Win10 so i have memory problems
3. Bad battery time
4. Bad display view in outdoor surroundings
5. (Still) no idea how to simple/safe root the tablet to get rid of the chinese bloat

I am not very happy and i don’t have experience in rooting, flashing etc. so I am afraid to brick the tablet or loose the Win Activation

Warning this fix may severely lower your read/write speeds of SD cards. However will enable all cards to work.
I’ve noticed more people having issues with SDXC cards so a more detailed guide on how I fixed this for you, if you could link this in the OP? Step 1: download this driver and extract it to wherever you like: http://www.driversfordownload.com/microsoft-drivers-for-download/sdbus.inf_amd64_509acf961ce0c619.zip-driver-file-download-57048 (also attached to post) Step 2: disable Driver Signature feature of Windows- http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/ The guide says press F7, but it was just number 7 for me. I forget if I used the bluetooth keyboard, or if touchscreen works in that menu. But I definitely didn’t have to plugin my normal keyboard. Step 3: Open Device Manager, this can be found in settings or just type Device Manager in the start menu. Now you want to replace all 3 drivers, 1 at a time. <noscript></noscript>Click the second option. <noscript></noscript>Click browse and point to where you’ve extracted the driver to. Click next, let it install. Do the same for the other 2 SD Host Controllers – For the second two you can click “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”, since you’ve already installed the driver. You will see this screen: <noscript></noscript>Restart your tablet and you should be able to use any microSD card formatted with whatever file system you care for. <noscript></noscript>Disclaimer: You can it seems damage microSD cards. I fragged a 32gb and 64gb card somehow while trying to get them working on the x98 plus. I’ve not fragged any since updating the drivers though. As always don’t blame me if you burn your house down etc.
I had the Problem, that the SD Card was not recognized by Win10

I followed your instructions to change the driver by it did not worked!

In the downladed driver ZIP are several compatible SD Host Adapters listed …

Intel SD Host Controller 10.0.10586.0 (21.06.2006) 2x

SDA StandardCompliant SD… 10.0.10586.0

And without certificate the twoin Version 6.3.9600.16408

Which one did you choose?
