Sorry, but my X98pro died suddenly a month ago. It seems to be an electric problem and I’m looking for parts to replace the motherboard but at the moment I could not found anything.

December 10, 2015 at 9:46 am #18099I think the problem could be if you are shuting down the tablet from windows. It seems that boots in different status than if it boots from android. My computer couldn’t detect the tablet after shuting down from windows but it did from android. You can try it…
December 10, 2015 at 9:02 am #18092You are right. Althought the system sees 4 GB of ram,the kernel seems that only reserves 2GB for the android system. I’ve been looking for where are these 2GB lost, and I’ve got the impression that the kernel reserveves it for the GPU memory…..but I’m going to keep investigating
And… yes, this is a non sense, and I think that here Teclast is guilty.
December 8, 2015 at 10:58 am #17941I don’t why the link doesn’t work but i’ve just tested it and it works without any problems…Maybe some problems with google
All of you who want to flash it on the tablet, follow these instructions:
1- Open a terminal and go to the flash utility directory
2- Copy the contents of the zip file in this direcory
3- Boot into DNX mode ( Holding Power and Volume – buttons at the sime time)
4- Connect the usb cable to PC.
5- In the terminal run:
fastboot boot loader.efi6- Wait for the android bootloader screen and run:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-2.8.7.0_teclast_x98pro-b2.img7- From the android bootloader screen, you can choose to boot in recovery or to boot in normal android boot or reboot to the bootloader( with the Vol buttons and the power button to select)
Once you flash it, you don’t have to boot in the DNX mode anymore to access to the recovery.
If you are root in android you can reboot in recovery with some extra apps… look for reboot recovery in Google Play.
December 7, 2015 at 3:44 pm #17850December 7, 2015 at 12:18 pm #17841Sorry, as I said to you before, arm64 is not comptible with x86/x86_64. They are two architectures differents. Is not possible. The only one that would be able to work is xposed-v78-sdk22-x86.zip and only work in android 32 bits version and our teclasts have the 64 bits android version. And not, there isn’t xposed for this version of android
December 7, 2015 at 10:10 am #17820Yeah, xposed should work on them, I have it running on my Chuwi Vi8, that is running X86_64… it just needed a little tweaking to get running properly, but at the minute, I can’t even get the zip to flash, its not even trying to, just errors straight away, I have re-downloaded it a few times to check its not broken.. fingers crossed Update – Just want to confirm that no zip flashing works, I have just created a zip using App2Zip (use all the time) and the zip gives the same error when I try to flash it. I also managed to flash the recovery to my actual recovery partition and it seems to be working ok, I am able to boot to it via abd reboot recovery now as well

just need to be able to flash zips from it, and I should be able to get xposed running, then I will post the steps. I’ve been testing with App2zip, and it’s not compatible with x86/x86_64 architecture, I mean, it works but creates a flashable zip for devices with ARM chips. I for that reason the recovery doesn’t recognaise the updater binary.
December 4, 2015 at 11:36 am #17537I’ll have a look … but the xposed framework doesn’t work with X86_64 android systems…. 🙁
December 3, 2015 at 11:28 am #17411Yes, of course you need a dual boot version installed.
December 3, 2015 at 9:09 am #17403Hi all
It’s a port of the Asus zenphone 2 and it’s working in my K9C6 model (not sure to work in the other model). If Teclast released the source, everything would be easier. But it’s not the case….
Anyway, the way of booting it is using the command fastboot and if you are using windows, I’m assuming that you have installed the intel drivers of the flashing tools, if not in this web you can find the files and intructions to install them. I use Linux and in this case is easier because you don’t have to install any driver:
Procedure:
1- Open a administrator terminal and go t the flash utility directory
2- Copy the contents of the zip file in this direcory
3- Boot into DNX fastboot mode. You have to turn on the tablet pushing Vol + and – and the power button at the same time
4- Connect the usb cable to PC.
5- In the terminal run:
fastboot boot loader.efi6- Wait for the android fastboot screen and run:
fastboot boot TWRP-2.8.7.0_teclast_x98pro-b1.imgAnd voilà…..

As I said before, once you reboot the tablet everything will come back to normal (with old and unuseful recovery).
