June 29, 2016 at 11:15 am #42286I have one on order from Geekbuying. They had a US$99 special. Mine should arrive in a few days. The X80 Power has a metal chassis, whereas the X80 Pro is plastic. Might be thinner and slimmer bezel too – check the specs.
did you get it?

June 21, 2016 at 4:31 pm #41665I recommend the Mi Pad 2, it’s a nice premium tablet, sure if costs more. But worth it for the, larger battery ,faster chip, better screen, cameras, build, audio, everything!
we are all waiting for your x80 power review.

June 14, 2016 at 3:51 pm #40943It appears to be exactly like the Pro. You might as well get the Pro on Banggood since they have it cheaper. Plus shipping times on gearbeast sucks.
you are right. After more research, it seems teclast is not much better than hi8 pro which I just sold. I might go with mi pad 2
June 9, 2016 at 1:50 am #40311April 18, 2016 at 9:29 pm #34180I agree 100% with qsqa : I have had 2x Chuwi tablets fail miserably on me (a Hi10 and a Hi8 Pro), so that’s a failure rate of 2 out of 2 and enough for me to realize that I need to stay away from Chuwi and spend my money on other brands. Chuwi are a bunch of incompetent amateurs whose company motto is to sell “Chinese Quality” (as in “total and utter CRAP“) products, and they sure are doing a fantastic job doing EXACTLY that… Look at the number of complaints and problems in this subforum with their products. My advice : STAY AWAY FROM CHUWI PRODUCTS…
it will be my first one and last one too. lol
April 15, 2016 at 8:00 pm #33695what is your serial number? can you make a instruction about how to upgrade bios? thanks.
April 14, 2016 at 7:17 pm #33547No luck it says invalid parameter or something very fast and quits the EFI shell. 32bit Vs 64bit issue I think??
No idea, but on Chuwi forum appeared new official Dual OS image for Hi8 Pro. I asked admin if Win10 only tablet can be upgraded with this image, but answer was that it is not possible
Also on 4PDA (Russian forum) few persons bricked their tablets by trying to flash DualOS Bios. It seems, that for now a moment you can flash this Bios only with Bios programator … I’m still wondering why is like this – I know that Hi10 can be flashed with 64bit Bios from 32bit without any advanced tricks. I’m supsecting that first batch of Hi8 Pro was released too early and this is causing this issue
First batch is hopeless. they have to return before they can flash bios because hardware problem. But my number is 2xxx. I don’t understand why they don’t release the flash for second batch. Maybe they are afraid the first batch people will flash without checking the sn. They will be in trouble.
