Wow cool, thanks! I’m looking forward to see a mini video or inside the full review, to watch how Android x86 performs on these “low specs” machines in particular with all of these different hardware/bios, hopefully you will put this test on the standard list to do, as done with Linux bootable usb test.
July 15, 2018 at 2:10 pm #144522Hi Chris, I’d like to suggest you to try a bootable USB pen of Bliss Oreo on all of these Gemini Lake devices, as on this Knote5, the most interesting lowcost W10 tablet right now.
It boots and runs a little slowly on my old Chuwi HI10 Plus, without touch/audio, but should be fine enough on latest Intel.Waiting for a 6GB of ram tablet with a 3:2 display. Do you think it could be anything available by August?
Thanks for your hard work, keep up it! ?
November 13, 2016 at 10:26 am #56854Thanks! Confirmed that doesn’t go in deep sleep mode, also with battery saver turned on. The rom runs pretty well, but for me it’s unusable, due to a big issue with Wi-FI, connecting and disconnecting every some seconds. With Remix and Cm12.1 was always stable.
November 5, 2016 at 5:17 pm #56445That’s awesome, hope to flash a test build soon, thank you!
November 1, 2016 at 11:06 am #56194I’ve installed the latest Cm12.1, cause I was not able to achieve root on RemixOs, but that’s ok as I like fast and debloated OS :D!
I hope Android 6.0.1 can be ported from this tablet http://techtablets.com/2016/10/details-teclast-tbook-16-power-z8750-tablet/
Thanks for your work!October 16, 2016 at 11:03 am #55002Thanks! It worked with system/boot flashed on fastboot, while restoring system and/or system image backup, didn’t work. (It seems the problem is Twrp recovery, if I flash it, it get’s stuck on Chuwi logo!! So no Twrp, no root.)
Cm12.1 runs well, fast, zero drain problems on screen off, even if Android System voice on battery stats, appears to be always active, but it’s ok. Waiting for audio through HDMI fix, if possible. Sad to hear maybe no Cm13/14.
Thanks again for your hard work!
October 15, 2016 at 10:48 am #54944Thank you so much!! I’ve done recovery, backup, dm-verity, root, and quickly tried Cm12.1 (great, except for audio through HDMI). I’ve got a problem: it gets stuck on “Chuwi logo” when I restore backup of RemixOs (tried also to wipe data/cache). Not so bad as I like more Cm12.1, but I’ll look for a solution.
Any chances for Cm13/14?
