It worked fine ! This method should also work on Chuwi VI8 (and we have also a temporary CWM session) !

I have the tablet since yesterday (I bought it from the 18th May sale on Aliexpress) and I’m quite impressed ! It looks like a high-end tablet for a low price (good finition quality + perf) ! Both systems are really smooth and agradable, switching is quite fast. I hadn’t used a touchscreen on Windows, and it’s really cool. Cameras and data rates are the black spot (I think).
I got 35539 on Antutu, quite near the Nexus 5, I am not disappointed for now !

I think I found a way to root the tablet (I’ll also test, I received the tablet today !) !
I’ve found it here : http://www.tablette-chinoise.net/forum/chuwi-vi10-t7085 (which is from http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096)
– Install adb / fastboot drivers for the tablet
– Enable USB debugging
– Download SuperSU (http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu)
– Download IntelAndroid-FBRL (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95897840722644693)
– Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip to the tablet
– Uncompress IntelAndroid-FBRL on your computer
– Launch “launcher.bat” from IntelAndroid-FBRL folder
– Type “ACCEPT”
– Check if device status and device information are OK, then type “T3”
– The tablet should reboot in fastboot mode, and after another auto-reboot, CWM recovery should show up
– Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.Xx.zip
– Reboot !

This tool is supposed to root all Intel tablets, so it may work !
– Extract the tool
– Enable USB debugging on the tablet
– Connect the tablet to your computer
– Run “3 Root-tablette-chinoise.net.bat” as Administrator (if needed, drivers are “1 IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.5.0.exe” and “2 iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.0.4.exe”
– It should automatically root the tablet and reboot it
– Check with Root Checker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck)

I will receive my tablet soon from 18th sale ! If you find a way to root it, please tell us !
