A clean install of Windows didn’t help unfortunately. I tried the latest version of Ubuntu as well in a live usb env, to no luck.
While I made very small changes to the BIOS about 2 weeks ago (mainly to enable Hyper-v on my unit, have not touched it since) I didn’t expect it to cause any issues, as I went over all the settings to make sure they’re fine. I reset the BIOS using the pin close to the power bottom, restarted the machine and .. presto.. the WiFi works again!
I still have no idea what could have caused this – but I’m happy to say that it’s all good. Certainly worth trying the PIN reset method before any Windows reinstall :).
