if you still see chuwi logo and a wheel loading thats windows loading, shrinking partition maybe corrupted some files dont know how much you shrinked, but 64 gb its really low storage to do that especially with windows. To load the usb you had to enter BIOS so i bet you changed something in there, switching asci mode to ide or something is enough to not detect the disk.

tried manjaro but freezes on grub, tried ubuntu and there were some problems, tried linux mint ok its functional but you have no wifi, no sound, no bluetooth, no graphics card detected so you have the tablet in portrait mode(default setting by chuwi i guess since bios is in portrait mode) and 800×600, dont bother trying this ill wait some weeks or months for some updated kernels, hope this chipset gets popular and some developers do their work.

got my tablet also on banggood i have to say excellent retailer they handle all the bios updates before i touching the device so no need to do the dirty work

My only concern and this might be windows 10 problem, i don’t like to browser with Edge (no plugins) and all the other browsers (Mozilla, Opera, Chrome, Vivaldi) they all seem sluggish no smooth scrolling, i guess hardware acceleration its not activated somehow but Edge works all fine, i upgraded the display adapter threw device manager but still the same(driver date 18-Nov-15, driver version: 20.19.15.4331). I can’t run a live ubuntu or manjaro usb so need to search more what kernel supports this chipset z8300 if there is any.
