Hi, I don’t know if an answer is still needed but here it is anyway, maybe it helps somebody else in future… Yesterday I upgraded my Chuwi Hi8 Pro Dual Boot to the latest Version of Windows 10. 1. I downloaded the 32Bit version of Windows 10 Anniversary Update ISO file form Microsoft. In my case it was the German language file: “Win10_1607_German_x32.iso” 2. On my Win10 PC I doubleclicked the ISO file to mount it as a virtual DVD drive and copied the content of “DVD” onto a Micro SD card. 3. On the Chuwi tablet I deleted quite a few things I didn’t need anymore but didn’t go into details. In the end I had about 5.4 GB free. 4. I started the setup.exe on the SD card drive on the tablet. 5. When I was asked if I wanted to download updates during installation I chose “No”. 6. When I was asked what I want to keep on the tablet (apps and data (was greyed out); data only; nothing) I selected nothing because I was happy to have a clean installation anyway. 7. During the installation I left the tablet on power, it rebooted a few times and after about 2 hours it was successfully done. 8. After the first login it downloaded and installed language packages and some updates. All drivers incl. Touchscreen and Wifi worked instantly. 9. I ran “Disk cleanup” including the system files to remove the backup of the old installation and now I have 8.7 GB available disk space on my C: drive. The SD card can now be removed, it was only needed for the installation files.
Hi, just wanted to add that this method worked for me too. Downloaded Windows 10 English ISO here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO/ , mounted and copied files to an SD card, and ran setup.exe on the tablet from the sd card. Took a couple hours, but system is working fine, no driver updates needed.
