i had tried to install the Andriod version on my X80 Plus too but somehow it failed and i almost bricked my tablet. Lucky i can still reinstall Windows OS back. I suggest you dun try unless you know what you are doing.

    That’s why I asked.

Anyways I just did and I upgraded just the Android part successfully without touching the Windows partition. It turns out that it’s really easy. Just install the Intel phone tool, enable USB debugging in your tablet (Settings > Developer options > USB debugging), load the flash.json file in the Intel Phone Tool, (*important*) select “update” in the configuration, connect the tablet to the computer and “Start flash”. After a few restarts, it finishes flashing.

The WiFi isn’t ok. It’s unacceptable. Being next to the router yet receiving half of the throughput is a total mess which means you can’t get very far away from the source of WiFi.

Tech reviewers must add a mandatory WiFi test to let people know about this (in line of sight, out of line of sight, near the router, far away the router alongside a device of reference with a known reliable speed test, etc.) There’s no point for Teclast releasing this product like it is by saving money crippling the connectivity of their products, whether Realtek’s the culprit or Teclast with the Wifi antenna / PCB design because clearly the signal to noise ratio is very low. People will certainly pay more if the WiFi connection is better (or at least I will).

Well, I fixed the nuisance… you need to revert back the Realtek WiFi driver to the 2015 version. The WiFi range / speed is still poor though.

Another nuisance I’m finding is that Windows doesn’t shutdown gracefully. After a minute, the tablet turns on again and when it enters Windows, I see that the WiFi device doesn’t appear, so no connectivity… If I shutdown the table again, it shutdowns for good this time.

The next time the tablet turns on, the WiFi device appears correctly.
