October 30, 2016 at 5:52 pm #56133I did the anniversary update on my tbook 11 some weeks ago. Main problem was to free up enough diskspace for the anniversary update to work. The update did not touch the dual boot at all, and the switch application in windows is just a simple executable file. Even if the link on your desktop is gone (because ann. “update” is actually an “upgrade” and really was setting a few things to default and cleaning up my start menu) you will still find it on your c:-drive.
October 30, 2016 at 5:46 pm #56131Hi Kakkaroto,
as far as I remember it was some chipset setting – NorthBridge. There is some default setting to autodetect the LP DDR3 RAM, I simply changed it to manual setting and told the BIOS to use only “single channel”.
Well, that’s how I remember it without actually going into the BIOS. If you can wait for it, tomorrow I’ll have a USB keyboard at hand and tell you the exact settings I did, but maybe you want to start playing already with the information I gave to you.
If you want to verify that either Android or Windows is detecting only 2GB of RAM then go to Settings-About tablet-Hardware info, or check “System” under windows.
And one more tip: It’s really worth to reinstall some of the apps that are important to you. Since RAM was holding partly garbage while I was installing them, parts of the installed app in the flash memory are now also partly garbage. If you want stability, take the time and reinstall them.

October 6, 2016 at 9:25 am #53108Hi,
I haven’t tried to move any apps to SD card, but from your post I can read that the tool needs root privileges. Since the android version that comes with the tbook 10 doesn’t offer root access, link2SD fails.
However I managed to root my tbook 11 via the tutorial given here: http://manguiro.blogspot.de/2016/04/review-teclast-tbook-11-cherrytrail.html
The articel describes tools for an X98 plus, which worked for my tbook 11 and might work also for your tbook 10, if you’re a bit adventurous you could try it out. Although I would recommend that you have files at hand to reinstall Android in case anything goes wrong.
Just in case someone has problems to root his tbook 11: I did some small modifications to the root package described above (removed some download attempts in the root batch file and put the right version of latest SuperSU in place), since it was not working for me the way it was. If somebody’s interested I could upload it somewhere.
