I have a miracast dongle on my TV.

Hi8 Pro connects to it ok and mirror screen in Windows mode.

In android mode, however, cast screen menu doesn’t seem to do anything. Enabled wireless display checkbox, but it shows “no nearby device found”. It doesn’t seem even try to find it.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I guess C<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>huwi focused only on supporting Windows mode for this Hi8 pro tablet. A lot of things work better in Winfows mode than in android mode with this tablet.</span></p>

I found the answer myself and is a very simple one. The cable that came with my Hi8 Pro is bad one. It can only be used for charging. I went to Fry’s and got a new type-c cable and now it connects to my PC.

The seller insisted that using the cable for flashing is unsupported and would void my warranty.. whatever..

same problem here. I just bought a miracast dongle. My asus zenfone 2 mirrors the screen just fine. Hi8 Pro does not find the wireless display. It does not even seem like it tries.
