I had to because I had accidentally deleted a partition when trying to free up some space for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (the upgrader required 20 Gigs of free space) and Android would not boot afterwards. The process itself was relatively easy, but first I had to install Intel® Platform Android Driver v1.10.0, iSoc USB Driver v1.2.0 and Intel® Platform Flash Tool Lite v5.5.2.0, then download the Android v5.1 and Windows 10 x64 image files for the Teclast x98 Plus II from Google Drive (you can find the download links somewhere on this Forum).

When everything is downloaded, installed and extracted, you have to boot the tablet simultaneously pressing down the Vol Up + Vol Down + Power buttons and connects it to your PC (you will need a USB hub for connecting a keyboard simultaneously). The flash Tool is very intuitive, I won’t go into details. When Android was restored, I copied the Win10 files to a 16GB pen drive (FAT 32 formatted!). Booted up the tablet pressing F7 on the keyboard and made the tablet boot from the pen drive. After that, it was only a matter of time till status quo ante bellum would have been completely restored. Then I installed the Anniversary Update and everything works just fine.

The tablet is as good as new, the only difference I’ve noticed is that the original version had UC Browser pre-installed, the new one has a “Browser”. I disabled both, so it is not a big deal. BTW, there several quite useful  and informative videos on YouTube describing various phases of the above procedure. Good luck!

My X98 Plus II had worked perfectly in both Android and Windows until, a couple of days ago, I upgraded Windows to its brand new Anniversary Edition. Windows still works fine but I cannot boot to Android. When I try, all I get is a black screen with the red Teclast logo. Does anyone have any idea? I am new to Android, so please, do not spare any details 🙂

    Thanks in advance
