It was the version everyone have.
I have used the latest ISO in my language, and put it on an USB stick with RUFUS, then I have run the setup inside Windows.
You can also try the MS utility, should work the same.

Was it stock version, or from V1.05 update? Mine is the updated version (posted in this thread earlier). I’ve deleted all stock partitions and make a fresh install of win10 (no android at all). Everything works fine except I can’t install version 1607. I’ve tried both methods you mentioned and got the same error. Obviously the problem is some driver in my system, but I have no idea about what driver is it.

This update is for Android, not Windows.
Googled your error, here is what I’ve found, should worth a try:

August 22, 2016 at 2:30 pm #47638My X98 Plus II had worked perfectly in both Android and Windows until, a couple of days ago, I upgraded Windows to its brand new Anniversary Edition. Windows still works fine but I cannot boot to Android. When I try, all I get is a black screen with the red Teclast logo. Does anyone have any idea? I am new to Android, so please, do not spare any details 🙂
Thanks in advance

Actually this package contains both Android and Windows

I’ve already seen this, will try when the time permits. The question is, why this issue is observed not by all users of our tablet. We all have the same set of drivers installed.
Anyway, thanks for the link.
August 23, 2016 at 8:39 am #47704Finally, after a couple of days struggling with error 0x80070002 – 0x20007, I’ve succeeded in installing Win10 1607 update. What I have done so far:
- Re-downloaded and built (physically) another USB installation drive with MS Media Creation Tool on the other PC, choosing the proper Windows version and language.
- Connected this drive to the tablet with different OTG hub (not that, bundled with the tablet). No keyboard and mouse, only OTG hub with USB drive.
- From under Win10, started setup from USB drive, asked to keep all my files and settings.
The upgrade went seamlessly and took about an hour or so. All the drivers are in place and show no errors. Will see, if there are any problems with WiFi or SD card.

Please, confirm that.
If there’s any other way we’ll have to reinstall the stock windows and then update (instead of a clean installation) to keep the sd reading possibility…
August 23, 2016 at 9:04 pm #47765Hi all,
I was recently in china and I bought an x98 plus II Â (C2D4); The tablet works fine, both with android and windows but I have serious issues of battery drain…. The full battery do not last more than 2 hours (android and windows) and even conected to the power supply it keeps on draining. It even drains on stand by mode. Really a pity as battery should be one of its strenghts….
I have tried to update the with OTA but doesnt work (network connection issue), but I guess is a common issue outside china.
I have also read that it could be a BIOs issue but I have not been able to update it. (using BIOs updater file form this site in for the X98 Plus).
Did any of you have the same issue? any ideas of how to solve it?
Thanks!!

Thanks. This is  helpful.   I was able to fix the time and audio as suggested.   However, the WiFi remains a problem.   I changed the registry as suggested and changed the bleisurep value to 0, trying  with both the old and newest version of the WiFi driver. That had little impact, if any at all. I am starting to suspect that this is a hardware issue with a poor antenna.  my WiFi speed drops from 23 mbps to 2 mbps simply by taking a few steps away inside a room on the same floor where the router is, while all my other devices almost maintain the same speed in the same spot  This is a really poor rang issue.
It is a pity, this tablet could have been a very good device for travel with ability to do some work on windows and media consumption and reading on android. I suspect that using it in a public place like an airport or a hotel is problematic, which is exactly why I bought it.
Can anyone confirm that this is a hardware or a software issue. ?
Thanks
September 2, 2016 at 5:12 pm #48653Am i only one experiencing high pitched noise from the tablet (wich is loud, and annoying) when screen brightness is more than 50%, and only in Windows, in Android even at full brightness i don’t hear anything.

It’s a bug that only happens when you boot from android to windows. If you start from windows it will not be
September 3, 2016 at 6:07 pm #48725Has anybody been able to flash this tablet back to stock?
