Everything is based on the characters and the general laws of the fictional universe. Fantasy should be realistic. Otherwise it becomes a fairy tale! What is the difference between a fairy tale and a fantasy novel? The fact that you would like to be in a fairy tale, but not in a good fantasy novel. 🙂

Maybe. This is a good definition, but I would add that my novel is not fantasy, but with fantasy elements.
