I also experimented with installing Linux on the Chuwi HI13.

I got Arch, Ubuntu with Gnome and Unix(Unix has good performance) and Kubuntu to work on the HI13 with Bios update and Refine as Bootloader,

even Android was working after some problems. I’m relatively new in Linux and doesn’t have the best English(like you see…), but I did it with this tutorial:

    http://chuwi-hi13-install-ubuntu.blogspot.de/2017/04/how-to-install-ubuntu-on-chuwi-hi13.html

I had the hope that with Linux , the Hi13 would perform better and would be much snappier, but that became only partly true.

It was snappier in the os and Youtube performance became better, but Linux is not ready for Touch control.

Only inĀ  Gnome, Unix and Mint(I read) onscreen keyboards are implemented and installing them is horrible.

I used Linux about a Month and deleted it and the Bootloader because of the small space on the disk, i only got 5GB on Windows free and on Linux just about 2GB.

But if you want Linux on your Hi13 then try the link i posted above its an detailed Instruktion.

So, i hope I bored nobody, because it’s my first time writing in a Forum
