Huge thanks to everyone for the information here. I used the instructions from the thread and drivers from the site and installing a fresh Windows (Windows media creator and USB stick) went without a hitch. Bought the X2 from gearbest and it came with OEM license so no issues there.
I hope someone can clarify a couple of things still. When the installer asked which partition to use, it showed several small partitions (system and a couple others) I didn’t touch these, just formatted the main partition and used that. When booting up, the tablet still displays the chinese boot-up logo and I’m wondering if I should delete all the small partitions when installing or if that would just mess up the device? (not that the boot-up logo really matters but since the goal was a clean install I’d rather get all traces out)
Also, the stylus (teclast stylus from gearbest) works otherwise but handwriting input is greyd out in keyboard alternatives. Did I miss a driver?
Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!
