I used unetbootin with the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS iso and created a bootable USB flash drive. Rather than running Ubuntu off of the USB flash drive I chose to install it directly and overwrote Windows. It does work but needs a lot of improvement with better drivers, configuration and maybe some updates.
Have you tried this yourself? If so what were your results?
