This might be worth a try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964551 (how to adjust sensitivity on your stylus).

On another forum someone’s recommended I try the Fujitsu T4020 T4220 Notebook Stylus Pen CP323611-01. It looks as though it still has a hard plastic tip (if that determines how sensitive it is, not sure). Anyone tried it with an i7 Book/i7 Stylus? Don’t want to buy another useless pen.

Thanks 🙂 Wondering if changing the hard nibs to rubberised ones will make difference? If anyone has reasonably priced links to share, (don’t want to throw good money after bad) I’d be grateful!

Not sure if Banggood will refund me for this pen, still waiting on the refund for the AC Adapter I had to buy myself.

Edit: Tried taking the S-Pen nib out to see if I could do a switcheroo, but the stylus nib is too thin.

This is from Banggood’s reviews of this pen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2ZesmQX7ws (a reviewer linked to this). Mine also does this, it won’t highlight or open programs when I click on them from Desktop (like this user) whereas my Note 4 pen does this easily. It writes, but not consistently.

Here is me demonstrating first the BG stylus, writing and double-clicking/dragging icons, then the Note 4 stylus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nymAIDrHXig (the Note 4 stylus isn’t as “noisy” when tapping the screen, probably because it has a rubberised nib, compared to the BG stylus’ hard plastic nib). I would talk but I have a sore throat today! 🙂

At last! The charger arrived today – very eagerly awaited. It fits, and the red charging light on the tablet goes on! As the battery is completely dead I’ll wait half an hour or so before switching on.

Edit: Yep it’s charging! Just did the Volume+ and Power button together and it’s booted up. Happy days 🙂 Took approx 1hr 50min to 100% charge.

The Adapter DOES actually state Polarity – the listing doesn’t state it, or show it clearly in pictures. I have asked Banggood to refund me the cost of the charger – the transaction didn’t incur a currency charge on my card, which is great.

My Aliexpress-bought AC Adapter has cleared UK Customs tonight (the seller has been very quick at replying to queries, shipping could have been a bit faster – Ordered 16th August-Shipped 21st August (those were a long 5 days!)). Fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow!

Bit worried by the comment about the USB-C cable, the one I bought gets good reviews on Amazon, but of course that doesn’t mean it’s reputable 🙁 Though seems Type C to Type A is useless for charging anyway?

Sorry I haven’t been able to reply. Trouble signing in this Forum and the last few times I navigated to this page it seemed I was IP blocked (?) but it appeared again after a few hours.

Banggood have acknowledged all my emails (though it’s a very slow and frustrating process)!  Initially they sent a reply a few days ago saying they’d contact their supplier. Then they backtracked on that and said they haven’t got a suitable charger in their store, and they will refund me for the Aliexpress purchase!

I emailed Cube and they were no good, they just told me to contact Banggood.

I ordered that AC Adapter from Aliexpress (the seller promised it will work fine with Cube i9/i7 Book). They only mailed it out a few hours ago, so I have had my Cube i7 Book nearly a fortnight and can’t use it.

Thanks for all the comments, I will look into the links about Power Banks, was finding it really hard to source a 12V one. It’s a disappointing first purchase from Banggood for me, though.

@Niclas Hensing Hope you don’t get the runaround like I did! As soon as the Aliexpress Adapter arrives, I will update this thread.

I have a bundle of chargers in here (I suppose we all do, we collect random ones over the years!), some state Polarity, some don’t.

Thanks 🙂 Are any AC Chargers with USB input 12V, though?

I wound up buying a Cube i7/i9 charger from Aliexpress. If it’s the right one, the AC Adapter “prong” is 3.5 x 1.35mm – 12V, 2.5A. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/12V-2-5A-AC-DC-Power-Adapter-Wall-Charger-For-Cube-i9-Tablet-PC-EU-US/32689241033.html (for UK, of course).

Banggood sent an email earlier saying “We have to contact the supplier” so might be quite a wait. Think Aliexpress’ delivery is kinda slow, too, not sure (I don’t order much from there).

Actually, sigh, yes I have tried the USB C-USB 3.1 data cable with an AC charger with a USB slot. This one https://www.amazon.co.uk/TartanTech-Charger-Technology-Samsung-Tablets/dp/B00R3N96L6 the charging LED doesn’t come on as it does with the 200mA AC adapter I have. Left it charging for hours and nothing happened 🙁 Probably because it outputs at 5V.

Thanks, I will look and see if I can find a UK seller, getting a bit desperate! My Power Bank appears to be 5V. (Though the Xiaomi says “12V 1.5A”, not sure it will work, might just charge a little slower).

Emailed back [email protected] (who emailed a reply on Friday – it’s Monday afternoon in the UK) – Live Chat tell me they see no reply! (Their email address doesn’t say “DO NOT REPLY” and it’s in my Sent Folder). Now they’re telling me to email [email protected]

    More days wasted!

I was all over town trying to find a positive polarity, 12V, 2.5A, UK plug with that prong connector – no luck. Even the universal, multi voltage adaptors I saw weren’t powerful enough. Went into Maplin (UK), they seemed to have their doubts but told me to come back in store with the tablet.

The USB C-USB 3.1 cable I bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016LT3MZS doesn’t seem to charge with my Power Bank. Guess I’m going to have to wait on Banggood replying to me (still waiting!) and China Post 🙁

Beginning to regret my purchase now!

No idea what the polarity is, the UK random plug I have does state the polarity, but this Banggood one doesn’t! (Though from squinting at the Cube picture on Post #2, seems it’s + Polarity, same as the random charger I have).

I even asked on the Cube website, but no luck

…I really want to get my hands on an AC adaptor quickly (to use in the UK). Will a 8″ CUBE U10GT AC charger work with the i7 Book?

    Cube Tablet:
    Thank you for your mail.
We suggest you to contact with your reseller.

Will just have to wait till Banggood get in touch, I’m scared I’ll break my tablet now!

The Power Bank I had on overnight (attached via the USB on the keyboard) has done zilch. Originally I tried the USB C connection for an hour or so (via the OTG cable) and that did nothing either, which is why I switched. I will try it again though. The Power Bank does work, it charges my phone just fine.

Edit: Urgh, Banggood have replied but can only see one image (I sent them imgur links thinking it would be more convenient). All this emailing is a total PITA! Live Chat won’t speak to me! It just wastes even more time.

Another Edit: Actually, I am being dumb. I’ve been using the other connector to charge with the Power Bank, not the USB C (my excuse is, those inputs are completely new to me!) – ordered this to try via Amazon Prime https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016LT3MZS Arriving later today (14th August) – USB C to USB 3.1 cable.

Thanks, Sing Along, didn’t know about polarity, eek.

I dug out a 16000mAh battery pack I got as a Xmas present last year (never used!) so trying that via the USB on the keyboard dock, fingers crossed. No word from Banggood yet – hopefully they’ll ship a replacement charger through their EU Warehouse.

I found a charger in my “bucket of carp” which seems to fit (connection a little ropey though), can’t remember what it was used for originally. The output rating is 200mA however, which I think will be no good. Or if I leave it overnight – maybe?

Edit: Six hours or so later, battery doesn’t have any charge 🙁 Didn’t think it would be powerful enough, so was clutching at straws.

Not a good first order with Banggood! I’m waiting on them replying to me – they direct me to a Contact Form, I have to send photos/video/picture of the package.

Seems I was right, they’ve sent the wrong charger 🙁

I realise this thread is a bit older now, but the best price I’ve seen the i7 Stylus currently is £210.43 (around $302.28) http://www.banggood.com/Cube-I7-Stylus-intel-Core-M-2_0G-10_6-Inch-Windows-8_1-Tablet-p-981768.html with code 0fcd6f (mentioned in the listing).

Tempted by the Teclast X3 Pro but the battery puts me off! It’s a shame they haven’t improved the front-facing cameras as I assume most people want to use Skype, rather than take pictures on a tablet. Looking forward to some comparisons between the Cube i9 versus the Teclast X3 Pro.
