I use a guitar pick but other thin plastic tools should work too.

More information on my i10. It seems to be a problem from using an AC adapter with the round connector. I removed the back of the i10 and disconnected the battery for a few minutes then reconnected and replaced the back and powered on. The large USB port and keyboard in the case are now working. I am charging the battery only with the small USB port now.

I have two of the i10’s, one on Windows 8.1 and the other 10 and both are doing fine using the large USB and keyboard case if I charge the battery only with the small USB port.

I removed the tape as described in other posts but it did not fix. The only thing I’ve found is a temporary fix. If I disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect and power up with cover on or off the large USB and keyboard cover will work fine for a random amount of time. It may be a few days or until the next restart of Windows.

In my case it doesn’t seem to be drivers since everything works for a while and I can get it to work again by unplugging the battery. It doesn’t stop or hasn’t so far in mid session but only when restarting Windows or powering up the tablet.

The keyboard on my Windows 10 i10 stopped working. I ran all of the power out of the battery and then held the power button a few seconds. Plugged in the charger (round connector) and waited a few minutes. Powered up and the USB and keyboard were working normally again. I tried the same thing on my older Win 8.1 i10 and that did not fix it. The keyboard and large USB don’t work so I use the small USB and Bluetooth keyboard on it.

My i10 is doing the same thing and additionally will not work with the keyboard case. I tried two different keyboards for the i10 which work on my other i10 running Windows 10. The Windows 8.1 i10 is the problematic one. I am able to use a Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad on the Win 8.1 i10.
