Yes, there is a cheap screen protector on the tablet, use a straight pin on the corner of the tablet to carefully lift it up. I also bought a glass screen protector from Amazon – DOMITREE 8 inch Hi8 2.5D Glass Screen Protect Film for Chuwi Hi8 tempered glass screen Protector. It works, but there is trapped air all the way around at the edge of the screen.

Yeah, I had read about that and was worried about it, hence the posts. However, I have no air bubble around the edges, and it is much nice to work on with the glass.

The only downside to the protector I bought is that the dimensions are about 0.5mm too short for a flush finish. Not too bad though.

The stock screen protector was removed- perhaps I have a terminology problem here. That thing was scratched up and would be silly to put anything over the top.

If anyone is interested, the glass screen protector listed here works well, and has no troubles attaching to the laminated screen. Enjoy ☺

Has anyone had any experience with applying a tempered glass screen protector on the chuwi tablets? Such as this

There are mixed reviews and I’ve seen a video of it not applying evenly to the laminated screen. I will be trying this soon, but I’d like to hear from someone before I remove a perfectly good plastic screen protector 🙂
