A good question. As soon as mine arrives I’m going to take an image of it just in case.
I would do it too if I will purchase Chuwi Hi10. Unfortunately, when I purchased Chuwi Hi12 in July 2016 – 5 months ago – I didn’t know that I can take image of OS beforehand. Since then Windows 10 automatically updated to Anniversary Edition and I don’t know if someone can offer an image of original OS for me. I am even thinking about purchasing second exemplar of Chuwi Hi12 to get the unaltered system image. At very least I shouldn’t repeat the same mistake with Chuwi Hi10.
