I haven’t performed the heatsink mod yet, I’m still looking for a metal shop that can cut the exact shape and dimensions of the heatspreader using copper 🙂 Found the designs at xda forums and figured that it should be better than a 20x20mm shim. It does get warm while charging, about 40 degrees celsius or so, while getting to high 60’s under stress tests. It idles at about 30-35 degrees though.

That’s wierd, I’ve had to plug my usb 3.0 flash drive, because I had to reinstall, without any hitches in wifi speed.

Good news is my department let me have one of the extra keys we have xD Would you happen to know how to disable vsync? I seem to cap out at 60 fps on icestorm.

I just got my cube i9 a few hours ago, wanted to reset it so I can be free of any adware that the vendors might have installed. Ended up failing with me having no OS. Currently reinstalling windows, did your reinstall ask for a product key because I wasn’t able to save mine D:

It seems I’ll be getting the tablet in a few hours when I get it to the post office, I can’t comment on the Sdcard thing yet as mine has been backordered  because it was out of stock locally :/

It might be that the 3.0 is drawing too much power away from the wifi module. Have you tried charging the device while connecting the 3.0 drive and then testing the wifi?
