Then how come people can still use the tablet with the same case ???

‘Magnets affect non-shielded mechanical hard drives, TV tubes and VHS tapes. When it comes to IPS screens, flash memory and capacitive input screens, magnets should have no effect on them.’ scientific source lol

We’re talking about two separate things here – many tablet type devices have a specific magnetic field sensor built into the bezel that activates as a “sleep mode” switch when it detects a magnet in proximity (from a cover flap/lid etc). That’s different from “interference” issues from magnetic fields distorting old-style CRT monitor pictures and write errors on traditional spinning hard disks etc. which, as you say, aren’t relevant to IPS screens or flash storage media. The issue would seem to be an overly sensitive magnetic sleep sensor in the bezel and/or an overly strong magnet in the cover, exacerbated by the Hi10 construction being lightweight plastic so any magnetic field will pass through it unhindered, whereas a construction with more metal in it would moderate the field somewhat.

That would be such a big fail from the factory not to test such things properly, but how do you clarify that when I put in the charger the charging light doesnt blink up ????

That’s what I’m wondering as well.

My tablet doesn’t boot either… but when I plug a usb cable to my phone it does charge… but besides that the tablet is completly dead.
Black screen, safe mode doesnt work. just dead -_-

Recently I have got the same problem and one of their employees replied as followed :

“my friend, please do not open dispute, it is not a good way to solve the problem, i have confirm to the chuwi factory they will make a software and later you try flash with the new software the problem will be solved, please understand-susan”

Let’s hope this flash thing will fix our issues.
