All the stuff highlighted in yellow looks etched, the rest looks printed.

I thought I had a dodgy HDMI port on my tablet, fortunately a £1.50 replacement fixed it and it works fine on both windows 10 and android stock rom even without the updated firmware (next project)

it doesn’t all look etched, most of it looks like screen-printing or something.

I might try some acetone on it or something this weekend and see what happens, if not you could always spray it black 😉

I updated to win 10 a couple of weeks ago and haven’t really looked back. I actually installed it before the teclast driver pack was released and I haven’t had to use any of the drivers as everything is already more up to date. I used the media creation tool and aside from wrestling through the Chinese setup to re-download the language packs (for some reason the English language pack was initially full of Chinese?) and having to do a reboot or two after the graphics drivers installed themselves I have had relatively few issues and wanted to compare with the rest of you to see if there are any fixes.

The first problem I am having is miracast doesn’t seem to work, it still works ok in android so there don’t seem to be any issues with the hardware but if you try and detect additional displays after connecting to the miracast dongle (in this case a Sony IM10) it wont pick anything up. Has anyone managed to get miracast to work in win10?

Second, the battery popup (when you click the battery icon in the taskbar) only seems to pop up if you have the device on charge or the battery saver is on.

Third, I cant seem to get any information about my 3g data connection, in win 8.1 it used to show if you were on HSDPA or otherwise, now it just shows a signal level and (usually) connected. This isn’t great as I’m sure that I have dropped onto 2g without knowing and wondered why my data isn’t working.

Fourth, battery drain when the device is asleep is pretty bad, battery saving mode helps but it still seems pretty heavy.

Finally, the clock fix posted above doesn’t seem to work for me, every time I move from android I need to reset the clock.

This seems to be it for now, there are other weird niggles like edge browser causing iplayer videos to go very strange and the odd bit of lag here and there but I am liking windows 10 overall and edge seems like reason enough to update as it is so much quicker than chrome and works so much better than IE. Hopefully someone has found a fix for one or more of the issues, it will be interesting to see how common these problems are.

P.S. I haven’t updated my BIOS yet, I’m still on the original one that shipped from teclast, I may look to updating this soon to se if it solves any issues and then get on with loading some nice lollipop roms! if only the battery didn’t falsely report its capacity and get stuck (usually at 7%) every time I moved between roms (anyone got a fix for this yet?)
